2015 Dodge Hellcat. Last 2015 off the production line.

Last year I completed a full detail on the owners Corvette. When I completed the Vette he said he wanted his Hellcat done. Well a year later he contacted me and said he was ready. There’s nothing better than repeat customers who trust you with their $70,000 cars. The owner wanted the full complement of services for the exterior.

The overall condition of the Hellcat was pretty good. The owner said it had been hand washed 4 times over the past two years. He thought it could be brought to another level, which is a lot harder to do with a car in good condition compared to a swirled out mess.

I started this project with the Tires, Wheels and Wells

The tires were cleaned with Shine Supply Wise Guy 1:3 and Tuff Shine Brush.
Wheels were done with M37 Wheel Cleaner, Wheel Woolies and CP IncrediFlair Mitt.
Wells cleaned with Shine Supply Wise Guy 1:3 and various brushes.

Tires were dressed with Opti-Bond 1:1 and Wheels sealed with CP Hydr02.

Next I moved on to washing and decontaminating the paintwork.

Decon
- IronX
- NanoSkin Medium Grade Wash Mitt

Black is tough to see the IronX working but as you can see on the floor it was doing its job.

Wash
I started with foaming the car, letting it dwell a few minutes and rinsing with my power washer.

Next I completed a 2BM with CarPro Reset, Adams Wash Pad, and various brushes. The plastics and emblems were cleaned with M37 APC, various brushes, toothpicks and qtips.

Dried with Metro Master Blaster and GG PFM Towel

The black hood vents were removed, cleaned and later sprayed with M37 Trim Detailer.

Polishing

The paint was in pretty good condition. Only some minor scratches from hand washes and drying with a chamois. I talked to the owner about using a MF drying towel instead of a chamois when I dropped it off.

A couple before pics showing the type of scratches that were found all around the car.

The metallic flake made taking pics of the scratches difficult. I guess that is a good thing though!

After doing some test spots I found CarPro Essence with a yellow rupes pad gave me great results with only one polishing step needed.

Polishers used
- GG Boss 21
- Flex 3401
- Rupes Mini
- Rupes IBrid

LSP

- CQuartz Coating
- Topped with Reload

All hard plastics were treated with WETS

Interior
- Wiped down, vacuumed, glass cleaned. Hard plastics received WG Vinyl and Rubber Protectant.

Finished Pics – as you can see in the reflections it was cloudy outside. When the sun did peek out for a moment the metallic flake really popped!

Thanks for looking! All comments and criticism is appreciated.

Amazing work!

How many hours did it take?

Also, tell me the secret of how you wash and foam indoors without soaking the items in the garage?

WOW!!

Thanks! I had about 14 hours into it. I guess I'm pretty careful with the foam cannon and pressure washer. It's nice to be able to do everything in the garage.

Washing a car inside is so much easier than washing outside. I feel like I have an infinite amount of time to wash and dry inside. Outside there are too many variables to deal with.

Very nice results, great write-up and photos.

Nice work, the transformation of the tires alone probably made the customer happy.

Very nice work indeed. :props:

I'd be quite happy with a standard Challenger to be honest but thats rather yummy! Stunning colour up close huh.

Fantastic work, great write up too, thank you for sharing.

You did a great job for sure!

Damn those tires were BROWN!! 4 hand washes in 2 years, LOL. I'll never understand that, hopefully it doesn't go that long this time!

Congrats on doing such a great job and tell the owner THANKS FOR SAVING THE MANUALS!

Beautiful work on that beast!

Thanks! It is a beast. The best part of this job was being able to drive the car to his shop when I was done. 707 hp is a lot more than I'm used to!

Look at all the crud you removed from the tires! I like the brown tire bleeding picture.

Beautiful transformation. Came out great.

Thanks for sharing.
