I decided to inventory all my detailing stuff-Waxes, polish, pads etc. Then to make it interesting I linked each item to its website so that descriptions and application info was readily available.

Now its time to start a Spring Cleanup plan step-by-step. Fill in any missing products and steps now and you'll be ready to detail as soon as possible next year. Stay warm !!

When it is too cold to detail, I build custom fishing rods and make custom baits while looking forward to warmer days.

Good Idea.
Do you just put each product in it's own folder on your "C" drive? How are you inventorying them?

That's funny, good idea. I might just do that, I read so many tidbits and think I want to try it and later forget. So I could add a section in each one for trials. I never know where to copy/paste and find it later.

I simply did a manual inventory. I put the results into a spread sheet with each tab containing a product function (degreasers, waxes, wheels, tires, 5.5" pads, etc). The longest part of job was creating links for each product to its website and to the various "how to" articles I had collected. The result was that each tab contained a bunch of products with links to all the relevant information for each product.

I shop at Autogeek!

i inventoried my stuff too on an excel spreadsheet. I went by product, size, amount remaing (0-100%), and notes. In th notes section I put what my comments were about the product and results I got, so if I wanted more I knew why or if people wanted to know more about something I could just check my sheet. I also put the products in sub-categories (waxes, polsihes, shampoos, brushes, etc...)

I sit in my lazy boy and eat junk food. You know, Doritos, Crunch-n-Munch, Ice Cream Sammiches, Cookies etc... :hungry:
