What to use after m205?

Its a product menzerna had for a while , was sent out on request without the intent on a full release, until it became very popular. From what I understand it is very here to stay..

That's good to know! Time to order one up and give it a try.

Its super easy to work with IMO, and buffs very smooth.

I use it as a paint cleaner as well.

If you have a light colored car you may not be able to tell the difference between this and Super finish. But on a dark car you will notice it more , imo.

Here are some cars I have polished in the past, the truck and mustangs are mine. The same procedure was used on all: Megs UC on a orange (surbuff on the Vette), M205 on a green uber pad and Menz85rd on a blue uber pad. Topped with Optiseal and finally with Opt. Spray wax. I think they turned out well

very nice indeed !!!:buffing::dblthumb2:

I'm thinking of picking up some UC, I hear its a bit more lubricated with a longer work time .?

With the UC, did you use an Uber Orange ? or LC ? I have the entire set of Uber pads, but have yet to use them. I picked them up when I heard that there velcro to pad adhesive is a bit more durable than other offerings.

How would you rate the Uber pad system ? Are the color's related much to the Lake Country setup ? for instance :

uber yellow - LC yellow
uber orange = LC orange
uber green = LC white
uber purple = LC gray or blue

When I say equal (=), i am not taking definitive, but more along the lines of "somewhat similar". What do you think ?

TIA.

I do not have the Uber yellow as if I need more than orange I go to the sur-buff pads. I have never used LC pads, I used the four inch edge pads on the PC before, now I have the Griot's Garage V2 and I use the 5.5 Ubers. I like the Uber system so far. I have Orange, green, blue and Surbuffs all in 5.5 size. UC does seem to have a longer working time and seems to finish down much nicer than 105 for me. On light colors I have actually quit after UC as I did not see a noticable improvement on a test panel on some paints.

great, thanks for the follow up post. :)

I also just picked up the Griot's V2 ROP. Which backing plate are you using with your 5.5" pads ? are you using the backing plate the machine came with ?

Whats the difference between Menzerna's PO85RD Polish and PO85RD3.02 super intensive polish now known as PO83Q??? Is the one you guys recommended me the PO85RD polish or the super intensive polish???

PO85RD3.02 has been shortened to PO83. They are nothing alike. PO83 is a heavy swirl remover "Super Intensive Polish".

I think Menz's primary market focus (production line OEM) does not lend to consumer-friendly product names/numbers.

Well my main concern is what to use after meguiars 205! Alot of people here said po85rd so i was just wondering witch one were they refering to!

They would be refering to P085RD, not the '83' offering.

Why does AG always say it's limited quantities so get it while you can?

I don't knw, if it's a sales gimmick it works. I got the huge tub of Natty's "limited" Red wax 32oz, and 3 bottles of Menzerna 85, but it's all good I love this stuff.

I've been reading through this thread and didn't get what machine to use while using PO85RD with black pad!

I'm guessing, you all are using rotary polisher!(or flex DA polisher)

Flex DA

I agree.

They don't manufacture, formulate or intend their products for the enthusiast market and probably not even the reconditioning market, (detailing), but actually target the assembly lines for car manufacturers, (OEM), and body shops, which is the re-finishing market.

:)

I was wondering the same. Wish you could get it in a smaller bottle.

If your in Memphis, I can give you some of mine

IMO the yellow & orange are practically the same pad

Any machine is 85rd friendly. You can even use it by hand

Hello everyone. Quick question. Is it recommended to use an IPA wipedown after m205 or any finishing polish before applying the lsp?

I bought the LC plate I think it was, I am using a 5.5 inch backing plate.

If your bp is 5.5 and so is your pads, isn't that a bad idea? I thought the bp has to be a little bigger than the pad.
