Lake country hybrids on the Flex 3401

Blue wool for heavy compounding
Orange foam for light compounding
White or black for polishing depending on the paint

Hand foam applicator for waxes

Buff and Shine, LC, Rupes, Griots. All depends on the machine and the job at hand. Always flat pads.

Lake Country Flats thin and regular,Hybrids,HD Orbitals,ThinPro's,CCS.
Rupes-All.
Menzerna White and Yellows.
Optimum MF.
Meguiars Burgandy Foam and MF Cutting.
CarPro-All.
Flexipads Hex.
Griots Garage Boss White.
Buff and Shine Flats and Low-Pro's.
Cyclo Wool and Orange foam.
Scholl Concepts Spiders,White Sandwich,Blue,Yellow HP.
Surbuf R.

I have more brands just can't recall, all used on specific machines for compounding, polishing, jeweling etc.

Theres no right or wrong here, all just preference.

TufBuf Black Wool, 6" on FLEX 3401

Cut faster and finish better than any MF, Foam or Wool pad that I have tried.

AutoGeek...start carrying these.

Some questions

What type of pads do you use for conpounding, swirl remover polishing, ultra fine polish, and wax/sealent?

I think the first question before any recommendation would be what year and make of vehicle is it and what's the condition of the paint?

Vette's are tough paints, Hondas and Subaru's soft, Audi responds best to MicroFiber, etc......

Also, what products are you looking to use (can be vehicle dependent too)

I got some HD pads(relabeled B&S) as well as Griots B.O.S.S. pads

Compound:
*green hex face
*blue rupes foam
*blue rupes microfiber

Polish:
*blue hex face
*yellow rupes foam
*yellow rupes microfiber

Finishing:
*red buff and shine flat
*white rupes foam

The rupes pads go with the Duetto. Everything else goes with the PC, and 3401.

Lake Country Hybrids for the Flex 3401 and Lake Country CCS pads for the PC7424XP

Orange Pads for compounding (hybrid and CCS)

White for polishing (hybrid and CCS)

Black, Red or Gold for LSP (Hybrid and CCS)

So far, I have done well with that combo

The hybrid orange foam does very well for heavy defects on soft paint, but on harder paint, something more aggressive is needed.

That's a pretty straightforward configuration too.

Even though I sold off the last of them today, I will always like the CCS line of pads.

I wanted to know what people use for polishing and compounding. I like the CCS and I have only use the white and green. Today was the first time I use the Orange CCS that I receive yesterday. I like the results but it did leave a haze with the DA. I use the Orange pad with XMT intermideate swirl remover #3

I will experiment with this pad at work with more cars.

I have notice that that cars vary when it comes to machine polishing at work. Some cars come out better with just the fine polish.
