What would you charge for this??

Here you don't see a lot of "company owned" rigs getting done besides a quick wash... I had a guy bring by his rig and ask for a price... I quoted about $300.00 for a OTR 2003 Kenny with a huge sleeper cab as a AIO and quick interior... He flipped at the price... This has happened mor than once so to meet my market I have a much lower cost for them... But it is funny cause I can get $350-400 all day on a AIO on a Ford F350 Dually ext cab... :dunno:

Well, you would have to know your poop to do a job like this! And give the guy credit for not wanting his vehicles to look like crap!

^^^^ :applause:

Kris, find an hourly rate you both can live with and there will never be any surprises for either of you

Good luck,

Flash

Thanks Flash. I thought of the hourly rate thing. I've never really cared for the hourly rate though. I don't necessarily have a reason for that, but I just like to know what I'm getting paid ahead of time I guess.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I really appreciate it. I'm pretty sure of what I'm gonna do at this point. I actually did this customers F-150 today and he was blown away. He said he's had his truck detailed many times and it's NEVER come out looking as good as it did. He assured me that he would not be going anywhere else.

We'll see where it leads! I'll come back and let you guys know whatsup. Post some pics and stuff. :dblthumb2:

I always end up getting screwed when I try to guess a job (unless its an existing monthly customer) By the hour is the only way I've found this to be profitable for myself

Those dooky trucks won't be a big deal. You'll make a buttload of money

I hear ya man. I know some people feel comfortable with the hourly rate, which I can definitely understand cause it ensures you get paid for the exact time you put in.

I'm just the opposite though. I hate having to spring the number on the customer at the end of the job, then come to find out they didn't wanna pay that much and they're all pissy about it. I'd rather just guesstimate...and if it ends up being more work, then I let the customer know that the price will have to be adjusted.

In this particular situation...I'd rather just throw a high number out there, and see where the cards fall. Cause he does have more work for me, so I really can't lose in the end. :dblthumb2:

Are you insured ? Don't fall while scrubbing the cabin top.
