Most of you guys know I've done some ZR1s, but when I got the call (and timeframe) for this group it was pretty crazy! So I detailed not 1 or 2 of them, but 5 over the course of 3 days. To say they were long days would be a severe understatement! Keep in mind, I don't do volume stuff at all, so doing 5 cars in 3 days was a real challenge!

They were all a standard new car detail/prep. But they needed them flawless, so this is why I was brought in, to make sure they were 100% perfect. Dealer did not want any correction done. Only thing that needed it was the CF roofs on 2 of the ZR1's. Otherwise, since no one had touched them, they were swirl free.

Process (x5):

-wash
-Zaino Z18 claybar
-ONR as clay lube
-Zaino Z9 leather cleaner (dash and door panels as well since they were all equipped with the $4k leather dash/door upgrade).
-Zaino Z10 leather conditioner
-windows cleaned with Stoner's Invisible Glass
-Tires dressed with Gloss-It Signature Tire Gloss
-LSP was 2 coats of Blackfire Wet Diamond for a sick shine and feel

This is how I like to get them. Literally brand new. Only person to touch it before me when it comes off the truck is the dealership PDI guys for inspection. Then its set aside for me to come out and make it shine!

Group pics of ZR1 3, 4, and 5. This is a trifecta! The 5th on (Jetsream Blue) hasn't been done yet, but light was fading and I wanted this picture!

Thanks for lookin!

Great job! Must have felt good being able to work on 5 ZR1s! They are amazing machines.

The ZR1's all look perfect now and what a cool project!
It is really amazing that one dealer has 5 of them in stock.

Thanks!

I admit, holding over half a million in car keys felt pretty cool.

Not only am I amazed to see five ZR-1s at any one dealer.

I find it even MORE AMAZING to see any dealer actually having a REAL detailer working on any of his cars!

All those Vettes finished up beautifully, but I really love the blue one. I can't believe that the dealer would let it get that dirty.

Thank you for the kind words. Its not the dealer's fault how dirty they were. They were on the lot for about 1 hour before handed over to me. They shipped from the factory that dirty.

Awesome work! I'm seriously jealous... I don't think any of the dealers around here would actually bring an outside detailer in, even for cool cars like these!

How do you apply blackfire wet diamond? Via hand or machine? All your work is always great!

Great work and great pictures. The only question I have is " Why were those NOT in the showroom?!?

I have a bottle of BFWD that's begging to be thrown on my family's fleet of cars. My '02 Accent has light silver metallic paint like on #2 while my Dad's '03 Malibu has that medium grey metallic like on #1 and #4. Based on the results you got, I can't wait to see what my cars will look like with BFWD on it.

Back on topic, all of those ZR1s look amazing but IMO the best one is #5. Metallic royal blue is a sexy colour on those cars. Hopefully for 2012 GM will release Corvette Yellow (same shade as the race cars) as a factory colour for these beasts.

Very cool! Nice work. I love the photos at the end with all of them lined up. :props:

I hope you used the 0-60 or 1320' drying system on at least one of them!
