Im looking into getting a foamer...but wanted some advice as they seem to be quite different. I have the "G Foam" from HD, its ok..but its more watery than id like...i want something that shoots THICK foam and if possible one that can hook up to an electric PW.

Any thoughts?

DP Extreme foams pretty darn good as well as CG's HoneyDew.

You talking shampoo or equipment?

I have Foamaster Foam Gun. Although I wish I went with the 1/2 gallon size instead of quart size (more capacity) I really like it and it is adjustable. Every shampoo I have tried in it foams really good. Foamaster Foam Gun

If you have a pressure washer then I would go with foam Gun.... Watch video on the following page Foam Cannon HP

+2 on DP Xtreme Foam (currently on BOGO) DP Xtreme Foam Formula Shampoo

I would suggest getting Foam cannon because it pairs up with pressure washer real nice. I have been very happy with the foam thickness from using Meguiar's Hyper wash.

LOL,sorry Will.
Dis-regard my post, thought you were looking for a good foaming product and not a good foamer.
My apologies.

No problem man lol. Appreciate the info on a good soap too though, im sure it makes a difference.

Thats quite a hefty markup..

there are many things all over the place that have hefty mark-ups, that being one of them and also microfiber towels as well. if you do some research, you can find many things these days and save quite a bit of money...

I agree. I spent more money on microfibers than I should have when I first started detailing and was new to the online detailing forums.. Now I've discovered other places that have great quality and awesome prices. Like you said, just gotta research and look around.

I think Im gonna get the hose connect type one and the foam cannon. That way i'll have one set up for just the hose if i dont wanna drag the pressure washer out at home, and have the foam cannon for jobs.

Any suggestions as to soap to water ratio. I want the foam thick, not soapy water. Ive seen some say 2 inches and the rest water, some say 2 oz soap and 30 oz water...some say 50/50...suggestions?

Btw, lookie: http://www.amazon.com/Gilmour-75QGF...H1GY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1323584843&sr=8-3

pretty cheap.

Can i buy separate bottles and have 1 bottle for car soap, another for APC etc?

I have that one with all the quick disconnects so I can switch back and forth, you also want the shut off valve so you don't have the run to the spicket to shut off the water. It has multiple settings and so far every soap I have tried foamed pretty well with it.

I didn't know there was one that had all that, can you send me a link?
