I've used both and the PB is easier to remove if you let it set up too long. Wheel wax when set up too long requires you to spritz it and really rub to remove, the PB no issues for me. I apply all four wheels then remove all four wheels. People think I'm nuts pushing my stool around the car twice. Good for the entertainment value I guess.
I dont think that is true when a durable Sealant like DG105 or FK 1000P is applied. I believe that these are designed for high temps. The way I drive, any wheel sealant would be burned off in less than 20 minutes![]()
I have been looking for a good wheel sealant but all I see is the wolfgang and the collinite metal wax. Are these the only 2 auto geek sell? If so which one do you suggest?
+1There are a few of us that use Duragloss 501 over DG 601. 501 is a very durable Marine All in One (AIO) that is safe on metal or clearcoat. 601 is a Bonding Agent that improves durability by 50%. DG 105 is good too. Just my $.02.
IMO any good sealant will do a good job on wheels, Just my $.02 FWIW!Is there a difference between ordinary sealant and wheel sealant? do they supposedly last longer? hi temp resistance or is it just a marketing gimmick *no offense*, they're both sealants
Rich, IMO the 845 is doing the durability part. I bought Sonus Wheel SSealant a few weeks ago and applied to the chrome rims on the XLR after using Sonus Chrome Polish, They look great. Unfortunately AG doesnt sell Sonus. Alas the new Ford has polished aluminum 20's. The 07 had 18" chromes. The 20's are gonna be expensive when the POS PIrelli Scorpions are shot. The 07 Pirelli's lasted only 27K miles. Im a Michelin guy.
