what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

That's really stunning, I have no idea why a manufacturer would open a detail shop at their facility. Unless that is a different location from where the manufacturing is done. The google satellite view of the address doesn't look like the building I remember.

EDIT: I guess they moved from Senator Street.

It doesn’t seem strange to me that it's all combined. Seems like a good selling point to me
The location that I visited was in a industrial park. I cant remember the street name.

The building on Senator Street was free-standing, the building they are in now has other tenants. Seems like a step backward, that's why I thought they perhaps were still in the building on Senator Street and had moved some office and the detail shop part to the new location, but seemingly not. This was from 2019, you can see the "available" sign so they were about to or had recently moved: https://www.google.com/maps/@35.035...try=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDEwOC4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw==

His early videos were from his shop. I believe here he is in his shop with your favorite guy 7 years ago:

I don't think it was that dramatic. I've seen this before in small businesses, owner gets sick, someone else step up into the power vacuum, boss gets better and says "WTH has been going on while I've been gone??" and cleans house.
Once again, he eschews the top down drying method.

Here's the second part of that video, the name of the shop is/was Repare-Brise, and it looks like a huge shop.

I’m really starting to hate the chemists at Bilt Hamber. They’re just too damn good. First it was Auto-Foam, then Touch-Less followed by Traceless which is by far the best glass cleaner I’ve ever used and quite pleasant smelling and now Korrosol.

Been using Karrosol for a couple years, need a new bottle actually. It's too bad DIY Detail doesn't sell a quart sized bottle because Jon's price is for (2) 16.9 oz bottles, that's why the price is over double that of Bilt-Hamber...just trying to be fair

I'm waiting for Bilt-Hamber to release a RW...can you imagine

When going ounce for ounce they’re about the same with my wholesale price for DIY but I’m looking at effectiveness. I’ve found DIY to be on par with Adam’s or Rapid Decon and those tend to take a lot of product to get the job done and have a slow reaction time. Korrosol just seems to be in another league all together.

If they create a RW it might be game over for everyone else but I don’t see it happening. Just as American detail companies have never really latched onto the idea of going all in on a quality pre-wash like Touch-Less, European companies don’t seem too big on RW.

This popped up in my recommendations and I didn't expect to learn anything new but I may be wrong. It looks like we're going to have a real winter in my part of NC this year and it's about time to shut off the outside water. This Ryobi EZ Clean may be just what I need to get a better cleaning experience from winter RW. I bought this very unit about two years ago but was looking for something easier to use than dragging out my old green works pressure washer and hooking up all of the hoses and then having to disassemble everything when I was finished washing. The Ryobi is not replacement for a true pressure washer but it looks like it may be the perfect tool to give me a bit more cleaning power in the garage without flooding my floor with loads of water.

Incredible

Ha ha, I actually came here to post that video.

I think I would have set this thing on fire rather than having to subject myself or the garage to such a health hazard. But then I'm not making Youtube videos based around transforming trash to treasure.

Back when I was at Waxit late last year for a polishing class with Sandro, the topic of UK detailing brands came up. As many will know, I have struggled with these brands for quite a while, so when this topic came up during the lunch session, I kinda had a lot to say. For anyone that knows me, I'm more of an observer in person, sit in the background type. So, for me to speak up about something, well that says quite a lot. I have to say, for the first time, it wasn't just me who had noticed a lack of favorable performance with these products, and I came away enlightened.............finally I had a answer to why I struggled.

So, in his latest video, Sandro delves deeper into the subject of how environmental conditions effect the performance of detailing chemicals.

From about 11min 45 -

I've been very harsh on these brands, and in my situation, probably justified. But knowing the climatic influences but also detailing philosophy differences, perhaps I have been missing something. You never stop learning.

I’ve been saying for years that everyone’s environment is different with different fallout, traffic film, environmental contaminants. What ma work for you in AuS, may not work for me in WEstern US vs someone in eastern Canada. Why there will never be a best but a best for you…

Speaking of Yvan, the latest video that I watched about 10 seconds of was EC introducting some Yvan tribute rinseless wash, at $24 for 16 oz.

Can't help but wonder if it's not just DIY or Nemesis RW repackaged. Going the Adam's route there if so...

I'm more intrigued by the Loki product:

Loki Hybrid Wash
A versatile cleaning solution that combines advanced surfactants for deeper cleaning and slickness, delivering results that rival polymer-based rinseless washes. Perfect for a variety of applications.
