what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

Some spend way to much talking about everything but how well it did. It is almost like they are padding the video.
I think the longer you watch, the more they make, so they have no incentive to be concise. That's why I appreciate that Project Farm guy who talks really fast...of course there is always your trick, Bunky, to speed up the video, which I didn't realize you could do until you posted that a few weeks ago.

Powerhouse is yet another hyped term.
Damn, I think Jon from Forensic used that term in his seperate video for Feynlab Ceramic Spray Detailer, one of my favorites but I think anyone who's used it could apply that term to it, hell, I stopped my detail at The Bays Wheeling a couple monthes ago to post how impressed I was with it

Jon from forensic has ranked turtle wax flex wax as the best detail spray in his current "shootout" but it's not even a detail spray, it's a spray wax. He even included griot's ceramic 3 in 1 wax in his detail spray shootout and that is a spray sealant. He is just making content to try and stay relevant now and his credibility has gone down the drain.

I actually sat through about 75% of this video.

Who agrees with me that these 2 guys are so contrived and full of themselves?

They don't seem to get it nobody likes them. It will be interesting to see what happens to rags to riches - i just stole that phase for myself - the next few years.

On a more interesting note. Seems Rupes has really fallen. So many much cheaper and capable machines. Ok polishes and IMO no better pads than a number of pad companies.

They should hire different engineers too. The cordless machines look horrible IMO.

That Sandro guy as me looking at the 9mm corded from Shinemate now lol. Very light weight - powerful too according to Sandro, its a major upgrade from a porter cable - and i don't need a long throw really..

Sandro cost me a few bucks over the years lol

Yeah that was a head scratcher but I'm not giving up on him quite yet

Look into the Maxshine M8S v2 as well. 1000w motor 8mm throw and same small body. Limited lifetime warranty as well. The M8S v1 was my main polisher for a long time and I was very happy with it.

I recently heard that Rupes bought out Adam's

I'm raising my hand being guilty of this myself, I even started that Pan thread myself. That said, these guys will float away at some point, no worries

The Flex Wax was only the best in one category and not the best detail spray. I believe it was the best in gloss.
The product that was I believe was considered his top pick was Feynlab Hybrid Ceramic Detailer. Calling the products a wax, a detailer or a sealer is most likely splitting hairs as their purposes are very similar.

I wanted to be pissed off lol But your right. I really don't watch them guys very often anymore.

The Rags to Riches Story.

From the video it appears the flex wax scored more points overall than the feynlab product.

I think a detail spray and a spray wax/sealant are still 2 different things and serve different purposes. For example, a detail spray can be used as a clay lube. No one is using Griot's 3 in 1 ceramic wax as a clay lube, but something like Sonax BSD can be used a clay lube.

I've never cared for John's pricing based on 1000ml conversion for pretty much any product he's reviewing, so I pretty much just remove that score from his review charts. Some products just don't need to be scaled up to that size, like spray sealants for example.

This test, while interesting, was definitely too lax on what a detail spray is. Ignoring the Turtle Wax, the top five were detail sprays. That said, the Turtle Wax and Griots had no place in the test. Both of them make a dedicated detailer so why not go with one of them instead? I really wish he's also use a power washer for water behavior tests to really show off the water repellency of the products.
