What's the last form of exercise you've done?

Went to the hospital after reading all of Monica's posts in this thread. ;)

Truedat!

I work out about 5 days a week but I don’t post anything...I’m actually on the elliptical right now, then off to work shoulders, hate shoulder workouts because it’s so damn hard!

I shoot for 5 days a week... doesn’t always happen.

Re: what's the last form of excercise you've done?

I walked with my dog todays morning. And recently, I decided to do some easy exercises every morning. And I'm doing them every day for 3 weeks.

A certain part of me hurt, and then it didn't, but then my eyes did.

Not a bad effect for 2.9 seconds, Bob......... :goodjob2:

Here is my last workout. I filmed it and made a challenge to my martial arts buddies.

Currently alternating between running, biking, rowing n weights. No beer league ice hockey is really hurting ( I play 12 months a year) especially since my senior citizen hips don’t have too many years left in them. I guess I can always bring refreshments n skip the skating

I went for an hour long walk this afternoon, visiting the bank along the way.

Mowed the grass today among other things. So far I have 5+ miles on my pedometer. Not bad for an old man pushing 70.

I've been lifting weights for about 15 years. Having the gym closed is really messing with me.

Borrowed a buddies bench and Bowflex dumbbell set.

I recently completed a Covid19 challenge. The challenge was to run a minimum of 1.9 miles per day for 19 straight days. Amazing how many people from around our country took up the challenge (and still so).

Although I had never run seven consecutive days before, I personally challenged myself to do better running 2 miles four days per week, plus 4 miles three days per week. I made the goals, but times were poor as the daily running took a toll on this 71 year old guy. But it certainly helped me lose some weight and helped my endurance.

I'm very grateful the Lord has blessed me to be able to continue my running.

I have been taking a nice long walk in the afternoons, nice and peaceful in the sun today.

I do either weights or cardio boxing almost daily since pandemic started and a 2-3 mile leisure bike ride because the kids go w me. I haven’t gotten the results I was hoping for. I have built strength and some muscle but not as much as I wanted.

Starting yesterday I added a 2 mile run on the treadmill hoping that helps me to start seeing a change. Truth is I gotta change the diet but I love my food. I have built some muscle but can’t lean out. Gotta lose some weight to keep the ticker going. I’ll do this 2 mile run for a month and see what I can accomplish. I took body selfies today so I can document my progress.

I haven’t run in years because it hurts my shins. I also have planters fasciitis which is very painful. I was surprised I could even do 1 mile yesterday and astonished that I doubled that. Actually did 2.5 but last half was a bit slower. I averaged 12 min miles. Today I did 11 min miles. Hoping to average 10 or less and maybe 3-4 miles by months end.

As summer roles around I’ll start adding long bike rides 10-15 miles on my road bike too. I used to ride a lot (half century) before kids but almost got hit by cars on at least 2 occasions so I decided to lay off. Since we have less cars on road right now I have started to ride again.

Anyway, excited to see what I can accomplish.

Went wakesurfing off my buddies Mastercraft wake boat up here in NE Pennsylvania. It was invigorating as the water is still in the high 50s and air at 8am the same, but it was great to hit the water again

Tonight was the first night in 2 1/2 months that I was back in the gym.

Worked legs and a little abs, nothing too hard/strenuous but I’m sure the next two weeks are going to suck, thank God for anti-inflammatories!

It was actually nice getting back to normal...no quotations around normal either!

I play drums at about 100- 135 bpm for anywhere form 45 minutes to 2 hours a day. Depends on how much time I have, and how mad I get while playing. It's a good workout, and glad my shoulder has healed up to where I can play again, that 3 weeks off truly pissed me off. It's a catharsis, let's me get the frustrations out, works the whole body, and makes me stay moving for minutes at a time (I usually just play along with some of my favorite tunes).

Now adding the pool just about daily for my little dude, and a 2 mile walk daily. Dropped 15lbs so far in 2 months off ( well as of 2 weeks ago). So we'll see where we're at by end of summer.

And if you play, remember, beat your drums like they owe you money!
