50 laps breaststroke
50 laps backstroke
20 laps kicking

Hit the gym at lunch...

20min on the ARC machine, then it was leg day on the weight machines followed by situps and stretching :xyxthumbs:

I'm trying to do a 30 day challenge and workout at the pool every morning. Easier to sleep in but that's where discipline comes in.

half mile swim today. it's been a week and a half since i last swam due to a strained muscle below under the left armpit (to the left). being out of the pool for that long and you definitely feel it. met a blind guy who swam in the lane next to me and it was nice to converse and have someone help push you back into the swing of things again...

I go in early so I can take a longer lunch :xyxthumbs:
I will need to switch to morning runs very soon here as the temps are getting close to 90 by afternoon.
I know what you mean about easier to sleep in.

Id love to have swimming in my rotation of exercising but I don’t have access to a pool... most pools by me are expensive to join and they really don’t leave much room for those who want to do laps... they are mainly overrun by kids playing.

Every other evening I power walk with my neighbor for a min. of 1 hr. (depends on the weather and the mosquitoes). Lower joint impact than jogging yet still excellent cardio.
 
Ice hockey game last night; and all the college kids are now home for the summer so the speed and intensity are seriously turned up a few notches when we have those young lads in the game ( needless to say i am walking real slow this morning). More coffee and Alleve this morning
 
Day 5

180 laps mixed strokes pulling

Late afternoon workout instead of early morning workout.

The sun lit up the pool like an emerald on fire!

Should be over 200 laps tomorrow morning.

All the swimming I did over the winter months in NE PA kept me in shape for ice hockey. Swimming is a fantastic form of exercise
 
Got up early and mowed the grass. Then finished cleaning and conditioning the leather seats in the wife's van. My Pedometer app says I got in over 14,000 steps which is equivalent to 5.3 miles.

May I inquire about the wrench on the bottom of the mower?
 
Got up early and ran 4 miles before work... going up to 90 today so wanted to get done early!
 
Day 9

Was only able to get in a half mile this morning and then the Pool Guy shows up.

Pool is closed the rest of the day for some grout repair. :(

The Masters Swim Team has invited me to workout with them early mornings 5:00am to 6:30am.

Found this bug in the pool this morning- glad I check the pool before I get in.
