Bob

I can't compete in the Olympics but I could compete in the Paralympics. I would need to re-join the Masters Swim Team and compete in a regional and then national swim meet to qualify.

I contacted our local Masters Swim Team and they have invited me to join their team and their workouts. I'd have to compete in a number of races to see where my speed is at but when I'm working out I feel like I'm on target to be just as fast as I was the last time I tried out for the Paralympics in 1991. I qualified for 5 events. I could probably do some of the other events too if I chose.

The next Paralympics will be in Tokyo in August of 2020.

So I have plenty of time to train and qualify.

I actually feel completely capable.

Really, Allen? Suck it up, dude. What's a little fat kid to the ol' noggin on occasion??

My wife and I walked our Corgi tonight and yesterday morning. We went and watched fireworks last night so he didn't get to go with us. We did a little walking in a park by a creek near here last night. I woke up too late to walk him this morning. The asphalt might've been too hot already.

I put out some sweat detailing two vehicles today, and changing the PCV valve in my C10.

Sounds like you trying to pick up ladies

I got to combine two topics into one. This one and what did you do today non-detailing related? I feel like I’m on a roll. Must be time to wash the truck.

Did you split all the wood and then stack it? Splitting wood is a lot of work, my dad you to order 3 truck loads of unsplit wood, or wood blocks. One truck load was 3 cords. My brother and I would have to split it and then pack it to the back yard and stack it for winter.

Heck of a good workout.

Yeah, usually I’ll split as much as I can before stacking. Then I’ll let the sun help it air dry before stacking. I’ve been using a wood splitter for the past 15 years. But I started splitting wood with a maul over 35 years before buying the log splitter. It’s getting harder all the time at 70. But I got to say, I really enjoy the whole process. Especially come winter when it’s below freezing and I’m feeding the stove.
