What's the opposite of a "Chick Car"?

Pretty much anything Cadillac, usually pick-ups but I'm seeing more and more ladies driving those, and Vettes
 
Something loud, brutally fast with a manual trans, big and mean. The epitome of not cute. Every woman I have ever met hates my Cobra even though it's a rag top. Because it's exactly what I described above.

Mike, I think you have the answer to your question being built at your place now.

  • i have friends that race MX5 cars and have fun doing it.
  • others have taken ford zx3 and raced rally events for fun. *100 acre wood rally coming up in a few weeks*
  • i had a blast in my subaru wagon in the 90's

There is no 1 true definition of a "chick car" or an opposite. It evolves from movie scenes of a blond in a convertible Ferrari, sorority sisters in a VW beetle, or any car with an obscene amount of mardi gras beads hanging from the rear view mirror.

Maybe it's more about function over form for a non "chick car"?

But then if thats the case, anything with neon lights would fall into the chick car category.

Vehicles like the F-150 Raptor, Viper etc... pretty much anything that just has that raw or f*** you character to them and goes against the norm lol
 
Well I understand where people are coming from with the Miata stuff but its just not true, its the modern version of the classic British sports car (sans the electrical problems) and its just a blast to drive one, even in stock form, so its no chick car to me, either is a Mini, same thing, its all about how it drives out, fun to drive and I looked forward to driving my 07' Mini Cooper S (when it wasn't in the shop)

One car for sure that's a chic car is a VW Cabrio, hands down, 100% chic car for sure! I would also say the Honda del Sol is another one.

Something that is powerful, loud, and can take a beating. So, that would be my truck. lol

Any vehicle that girls don't like to ride in is the opposite of a chick car in my book.
