You guys crack me up, spending more on a girlfriend/boyfriend (something temporary) than on your parents.

We really don't set a budget but spend well over $1k.

In my case the GF and I have been together nearly 3 years. We're not really expecting to go our separate ways either. We just haven't gotten around to the "getting a piece of paper that says we're legally not single" thing.
