Whats your favorite car shampoo?

Where does it say that? IIRC, it's supposed to be the exact opposite.

Ok, it says no polymers in descriptions so I stand corrected at this point.

On another forum I found a description for Hydro Wash given by Prima itself:

"Hydro Wash was designed specifically to compliment Hydro Seal. They work together to repel and remove dirt from your protected surfaces. They're like twins with one pushing and one pulling. Hydro Wash knows exactly what makes up Hydro Seal, so it removes from the surface everything but Hydro Seal. This gives you a super-clean surface while maximizing longevity."

So I may have misunderstood this "super-clean" term. If you say it is wax safe then it looks like it is a definite buy for me.

Prima Hydro Wash is pH neutral and wax safe. It's quite sudsy as well.

Nick I don't think you should be able to vote for your own lol

I haven't tried it by I've only heard good things about it.

Dodo Juice basics of bling...not overly sudsy, very slick.

If you have hard water, IMO its tough to beat NXT. DG901 just doesn't seem slick enough unless I use a ton of it. Optimum is nice, but its not any better than NXT and costs nearly double.

That's a good point and I was just thinking about this last night. How does hard vs. soft water affect a car shampoo's performance? Are there brands that work better with soft vs. work better with hard water?

Poorboys Super Slick and Suds BTW.

Car with [maintained] LSP (maintanence wash):
1. Dodo Juice BTBM (0.7oz to 3 gal)
2. (tied with XMT based on finish). WG Auto Bathe (2oz to 3 gal.)
2. (tied with WG based on cost). XMT Auto Shampoo (2oz to 3 gal.)

Dirty unmaintained car (prep wash)
1. Dawn mixed with high lubricity car wash (usually 2oz Dawn, +High lube wash at recommended dilution, in 3-4 gallons of water.)

:props:

Dodo Juice BTBM and Supernatural both have limescale inhibitors to help with hard water, as per Dodo Juice:

BTBM
- 1:800 dilution guide
- Limescale inhibitors
- Residue free
- Purple colour and berry fragrance
- No artificial thickeners, foaming or bulking agents
- No silicones or so called gloss enhancers (like many high street shampoos)
- RRP from 8.95 GBP for 250ml

SN Shampoo
- 1:1500 dilution guide
- Limescale inhibitors
- Anti-static agent
- Sheeting/rinsing agent (therefore leaves a microscopic clear sealant residue, so not technically residue free)
- No colour or fragrance
- No thickeners (it is thicker as more concentrated than BTBM) or silicones
- No foaming, bulking or gloss enhancing agents
- RRP from 12.95 GBP for 250ml
- 2ml pump dispenser head

I like Meg's Gold Class but where I encounter hard water NXT seems to do a better job.

That said for my volume work I use Meg's D-line Shampoo Plus or HyperWash. I think HyperWash is the more cost effective due to its dilution ratio but I love how Shampoo Plus works in the power washer and how long it maintains it's suds.
