what's your weather currently like?

My ex boss used to same the same thing about Charlotte, NC.

Then I took him to play golf down here in the middle of July and in the middle of the day.

If I remember correcty to quote him "###'s idea was it to play golf in the middle of July in Tampa"

Plus it's like this for 5-6 months easily.

We spent the whole 4th of July weekend inside because it was so freaking nasty hot out.
 
This was a screen shot I took of the weather in Tampa when we were in Mexico on vacation. We picked the right week to head south. Note the feels like temp.

Is it less humid (relatively speaking) further inland away from the Gulf, Mark?
 
I live on a cypress swamp, my back yard is soaked right now so it's actually worse. They get a sea breeze.
 
For the next week or so...gonna be in the 90's with DP's in the mid 70's. Hot and humid!

BUT, it beats the bejabbers outa -40°F with full blown blizzard conditions!

Yesterday morning I was glad I had my slippers on while out on the deck. It was down right chilly while having my morning cup of “aah crap, I got to go to work” fuel.

Dew point is 81* F.... Heat index 91*F at 6:30 AM, I’m going to need my Gold Bond Powder today.

One plus to all this heat and humidity is that corn LOVES this kind of weather.


BTW: my morning cup of “Dang it! It’s not Saturday” is being enjoyed indoors, where it’s a comfortable 74*F.

What did I do today? Nothing outdoors. Garage is 97* F combined with dew point of 82* F equals heat index of TOO DARN HIGH!

Walking out of the garage it actually felt cooler. Heat index outside is only 109* F.

No matter. Tomorrow will be much cooler but thunderstormy so both vehicles will get a rinseless wash in the garage.

Pretty rare for out here on the tip of Long Island.

Lawn work, or any tinkering in the shop was NOT on my list today. Lol

HOT and HUMID! Miserable weather. It rains in the afternoons so when the sun hits it the next day the humidity keeps rising.

My buddy was down from Atlanta Wednesday, he took us to Top Golf. He couldn't believe the humidity in Tampa compared to Georgia. All he wanted to do was go into the ac. C'mon down if you really want to feel humidity LOL.

Nope, I'm too white for the muggy stuff! Been in the house all day in the AC, although I went down to the garage to get my buckets to rinse them out, fill with water and take back down there. Now all buckets, along with my 3 gallon old cat litter jug, is filled with water for next time

I hate winter,and it doesn't get nearly as cold here as it does in other parts of the country. I hate wearing a coat! I'm a Summer time shorts-wearing guy.
