what's your weather currently like?

20C - 68f at 9am, expected 23C. We had an inch and a half of rain overnight, and it looks like rain all day, but we need it.

Hit 50 F (10 C) today. Also rained. Drastic difference between southern hemisphere summer and northern hemisphere winter.

Well, weather predictions were accurate. Not sure how much snow we got, but enough to make sidewalks diappear. Looks like snow will continue for another couple hours.

Drift Cutters!

Better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them!

The Northern Lights are so bright tonight you can see them from midtown Anchorage

Did you see the colors like they are in the photos? When we saw them in Iceland, they showed up green in photos but we didn't actually see the colors with our eyes. They looked fainter than this though.

Yes, what’s in the picture is what we see

From the B&B it was only green, which is the most prevalent color seen in this area but at my son’s house (our old house) there is much less light pollution and he got the reds and purple as well, although the reds/purple are less common

Our new house is going to be in an area with extremely low levels of light pollution so we should get awesome displays

Rain but we need it! It's weird when the dry grass/lawn just slides away with the water

It’s clear and cold now but by tomorrow morning we are under a 24 hour blizzard warning

Oy vey…

Last night was pretty much the first decent snow of the year. Still only about an inch or so. Felt like we were gonna make it thru the winter without any.

Have to admit. One of the strangest winters in PA so far. Hardly any snow. Temps are on a rollercoaster. One day up, next day down. That sub-freezing temps at the end of Dec. was nasty! Curious to see what March/April brings.

It was weird over here as well, most east coast capitals had their coolest summers in decades, but had individual extremely hot days. Rainfall was down in southern regions, but up north they had above average in some areas for their wet season.

Because we had cooler, but clear, weather, our solar panels generated more power than we used. Our power bill for the last quarter was only $21. And $80 of our bill is what they call a connection charge, not based on how much we use.
