what's your weather currently like?

I'll admit that I was just looking at a new flashlight in the past week. Some of the Fenix's are up to 3000 lumens. I can remember the first Surefire I got. It took lithium batteries and put out 60 lumens.

The Tk16 V2 is 3100, it impresses me everytime I use it. The LR80R is really bonkers. Bulkier, but I have the shoulder strap so it's easy to walk around with. It is a beast. All the companies have impressive tech. I also have Fenix E02R on my car keychains. Very small but packs 200 lumens in a big way. I like it so much I bought a half dozen of them and gave them to close friends. So small and handy, we all use our phone flashlights for a quick light. These are very small but way way brighter. And on your car or house keychain very easy to use quick too.

I have 2 surefire g2x pro's, one of which is my edc but is left in the vehicle when out and about and which are dual 15/600 lumens, love them! On sale you can get them for 60 bucks. Also i have a surefire x300u. And the only rechargeable i have is a pelican 7600. All great lights, but if i had to choose...its the surefires.

After that ugly and wet weather last weekend, this one is great! Going to do a Maintenace wash on the truck this afternoon. After I have a new Serpentine belt installed this morning. At 60K miles it has the squeaks.

And it's only mid spring. I am not looking forward to summer.

It's been raining all day, only lightly though, which is good for the lawn. We topped out at 55f today, 80 yesterday, and 95 the day before that. I've been wanting to wash the FJ, but I knew this rain was coming.

Yeah, it's nasty outside. I just checked in the garage, 35C /95f, so no fun in there either.

I know it was described as a heat wave, but is this just normal Summer for Sydney? This hot stuff sounds like our Arizona members.

We have ducted air-con in the house, set at a comfortable 25C/77f, it uses far less power than our solar panels produce.

That is really cool (no pun intended). Do you have ideal conditions for the panels? North/south orientation? I know it seems from your pictures you don't have many trees. My house is not ideal in those respects.

They called it a heatwave, but it was only 2 days. I think of a heatwave as 3 or more above 35C/95f. The humidity wasn't too bad on those 2 days either. The funny thing is this morning was only 27C/81f when I was walking my dogs, but the humidity was up around 70% and it was horrible.

The solar panels are a 5KWh system, on a good summer day we can generate over 42KWh. It's also a new house, very well insulated, and LED lights everywhere, the garage is on the western end of the house, so while it does get warm in there, it insulates the rest of the house from the afternoon sun. Our old house in Sydney faced west, so it was the worst in summer, no ducted air either. We're 2 hours north of Sydney now, in a semi rural area, on the edge of farmland, so we usually get a nice breeze in the afternoon. Definitely better than living in a big city, last time I went back to my old street it felt claustrophobic.

What's your area like? Are you getting snow like some of the others? From memory I've only been in snow 3 times. You really have to deliberately go and find it here.

We haven't had any snow this year, other than a few flurries the other day. But we're just getting into snow season, not that we haven't had snow in October and November, but not as common, particularly in the last few years.

I would have gotten solar a long time ago if there weren't so many tall trees and if my roof was oriented better. I think the cost of solar has come down enough, and my neighbor cut down a couple of trees, that I might do it in the next few years.

Nice Saturday and all-day rain today. Temps are going to drop. Possibly some snow tonight.

I'm in northern Victoria, and I swear it gets more and more humid each year. The last few days have been horrid, although I particularly hate humidity. I had four mowing jobs this morning into the early afternoon, I got them done and out of it as soon as I could.

Drove thru some decent snow on the way to work. I guess winter is here. Since it has been raining for a day and the ground is wet, I don't think we'll have any accumulation tho.

We are trapped in a perpetual Fall. I think we're looking at another season of no snow and very little rain to break the drought.

The pattern seems to be locked in with lows in the high 20's/low 30's F at night and highs in the upper 40's/low 50's and sunny during the day. Our family really likes winter and snow and we're going on our second "winter" like this. I'm pretty sure I've not touched my snow shovel in nearly three years.

The oil in our snowblower looked brand new when i changed it. Also picked up a new spark plug for it today. I'm gonna change it but will probably end up extending that interval if it's not seeing any use.

I saw 38C/100f on the outside temp in the car today. We also have a total state wide fire ban in place. I got up early at 6 this morning to walk the dogs before the heat sets in, it was raining just enough to leave spots all over the car, now it's too hot to wash it, fingers crossed we get the predicted storm tonight.
