So just got my wheels clean View attachment 27242View attachment 27243 and I was wondering what are some good brushes to clean behind the front I was using Daytona brushes And I liked them but all the red and black things fell out and made a mess any help? And sorry for the cell pics did not have time to pull out my camera

Looks like the Daytona Brushes worked well for you with the wheels off of the car.

Once you coat them and get them back on the car the Daytona should do a great job of keeping them clean.

I also have the Wheel Woolies, but if you already have the Daytona, you are all set.

Please post some pictures of your damaged Daytona Brush. I am interested to see what happened.

If the bristles of your new Daytona Brushes are falling out, you need to contact the manufacturer and ask for a replacement.

Excellent turn around though now I would coat them with something like opti coat as for the brush would usea a cheap tampico spoke brush for the next time the wheels get that dirt so you won't do to much damage to your beloved Daytona brush

Already has Daytona, why would he buy a "cheapo tampico"?

If you don't have Opti-Coat at the ready... a sealant of even wax will make cleaning the wheels much easier in the future.

Did not use Daytona brush to clean them but I used Iron x some sonax wheel cleaner and a steamer I'll probably buy another set of Daytonas and wheel woolies. Coated them with pinnacle black label surface coating will this be fine?? And also this is my dad's truck and it's a 06 so the wheels have not been cleaned really good since 8 years! I still have the brush I'll try to post the photos I think it's by bending it to much

Great job

The coating you used should be great

What I meant with the brush was before I took the wheels off all the stuff started falling out. It's been a month since the last time I used the Daytona so when I took the wheels off I used just a cheap homedepot brush

^ yikes, i've never seen that before and i have quite a few of those types of brushes. must of been a bad batch. how long have you been using it?

I got it when the Black Friday sale was going on and started using it in the new year so for like 3 months or 4 but you
Can pull the red and black things right out

I have never seen that before. Looks like it got drug down the street. Send it back and see what happens.

Also never saw that with daytona brushes, but already saw that with cheaper brushes.

However, Daytona Brushes are expensive for me ordering from here (I'm Brazilian), so I treat them with all care, even if it takes 5 minutes more on each wheel...

My general follow up on wheels are Daytona Brushes with APC and/or degreasers, then I'd use a brush (Like a Paint Brush), some of the larger ones, and work the wheel with a gel wheel dedicated cleaner to detail it to the maximum. The gel I like to use here is because it 'clings' better to surface when working.

I may add Iron-X or a claying step as needed.

Rinse well in-between every step.

Kind Regards.

that's crazy that them daytonas fell apart like that . anyways I don't care for any of the daytonas , I like the wheel woolies esp the revolutions spoke back . for the wheel face I use a boars hair brush . my wheels are opticoated . for those nasty buggers I'll use a slightly stiffer brush -al cheapo to get the crud off

I think it's from all the bending! I'll probably buy two brushes keep one strait and one bent

Is there a good small brush that can be used in a drill to get tight areas? Kind of like a tube brush, but with more bristles.

It looks like your brush got hit by a lawn mower. I use those bad boys professional and I can get a year out of them. I've never seen that before.

Now, one complaint I will add is that the handles fall off and constantly have to be screwed back on. I guess I'm just too lazy to put some epoxy in there. . .doh!
