Wheel wells are going to be the death of me

I like to use a jack once every 3 months to lift the car to the point right before the tire comes off the ground, further exposing the wheel well. I then spray it with an all-purpose cleaner, agitate, and rinse with ONR. This leaves a nice matte finish, not an extreme shine like Griot's Undercarriage spray.

Here's a tip for you guys. Use Westley's Bleche Wite on your wheel wells. Also, if you get paint overspray in your wheel wells, use an old claybar and clay the plastic. Of course, you can't really use either of these on wheel wells if they have a fabric covering them, but Bleche Wite works WONDERS on cleaning plastics and rubbers. I use it to clean tires and wheel wells. DO NOT let it sit on a rim or the paint for more than a few seconds though. It's pretty aggressive.

I've never seen a product get a tire cleaner than Bleche Wite though, and for $2.88 a bottle at Wally World, you can't beat its availability, effectiveness and cost. ;) I wish I had the money for the high dollar stuff, but I'm still just getting started, so I need ways of saving money.

OH, and I"m CERTAINLY going to try the toilet brush idea. I can see where that would work wonders as well.

Soak them with ARO/Power Clean undiluted, whichever I've got the most of at that point in time.

On cars/trucks with enough clearance I break out the Sam's Club microfibers. $10 for a bag of 20 or 25.

Everything else, especially cars that sit quite low like mine, I've got a Daytona brush devoted specifically to wheel wells. Sometimes I can't help but jacking the thing up pulling the wheels and getting in there with microfiber anyway.

I did try a couple long handle brushes before. I believe Mother's makes one, the other was something random I found at Wally World, neither did all that well for scrubbing. Not enough leverage to really get in there. Work fine on well-kept cars though.

I will 2nd the Wesleys Bleach White mentioned above. I have been using it for years, and I recently found out my local mom n' pop autoparts store sells it by the gallon for 6.99. one of the best over the counter tire cleaners I have used. I use it on wheels too, but like said above, only leave it on for a few seconds. It can chemical burn the paint

I can beat the cost aspect by buying a gallon of Meguiars Super Degreaser for $13 and diluting it at either 10:1 or 4:1.

I could go through several bottles of Westleys a day if I bought it,

I haven't used Meguiar's Super Degreaser, but I have used other degreasers and nothing has even come close to the speed and effectiveness that Bleche Wite provides. In seconds, brown goo is oozing out of tires. That goo would be old tire dressing, dirt and quite a few other nasty chemicals and such both from the outer world and that came to the surface of the tire discoloring it that needs to be removed to get that black look back.

If I could get a sample of the Meg's Super Degreaser, I'd like to see how they do side-by-side though.

EDIT: YAY! This is my 500th post! :D heh Anyway...
