When is the Meguiars DA microfiber system coming out????

The fact that they've been testing with a traditional DA suggests that's what it's geared for. However, it may work well with the Flex 3401, too.

I haven't seen his comments, I'm speaking from only the few tests that I've seen. I'm by no means claiming to be an authority on the product, just adding my .02

And you are right, the only way to tell for sure is to try it when it comes out.
 
I dunno if you would call me a pro as I've never polished an Enzo, but I think this will fit into about 85%+ peoples expectations of what a great level of correction looks like. You of course can get better results with other products and techniques but the above average car nut won't be able to noticeably tell the difference in results of this system vs a 15 step jeweling. I know for sure I'll be using this for about 80-90% of my clients asking for paint correction and personally can't wait for it to become readily available :)

Have you done paint correction work for paying customers and gotten realistically high level results (80%+ defect removal)? If so, you're a pro. If polishing a high end vehicle were the qualifying factor for a pro vs. a non-pro, the vast majority of detailers wouldn't be pros.

That was a joke :) And I've gotten paid for a couple paint corrections in my day as detailing is my full time job running my business, but these days most just want their cars to be shinny which means aio, although I have a 911 correction coming this Friday but only a clay, one step, fuzion.
 
IMO Meguiars has failed by not already releasing these pads. I mean, come on, we've been talking about these things since September and still no release date????

I feel like their treating me like a 15 yr old girl with all this teasing. If this product is so great, then release it already

I agree that I think they started talking about these pads too soon. I think they have gone through several revisions for one reason or another and thats why it's taking so long.

Would you rather they release an inferior product? Meguiars is/was putting the system through very tough tests to push the boundaries of performance, durability, etc...

I have used the system with every type of DA machine out there and it works on all of them.

Meguiars does not practice the principle of not releasing a product untill the bugs are worked out. If this was the case, there wouldn't be millions of bottles of Hot Shine on store shelves with faulty sprayer heads being sold to customers all over this Country. This is a problem that they are very well aware of, but instead of yanking them from the shelves, they choose to jam their client base with a product that they know is worthless.

All this testing you speak of should've already been done way ahead of them anouncing this "New System". All they have done at this point is make themselves look bad and piss their client base off with all this BS hype

Furthermore, if you have used this system on any and all DA's, and have gotten such tremendous results, then whats the hold up

I am anxious to see this and how much it will cost! I hope it is reasonable and the pads are reasonable as well.

I need another compound like I need a poke in the eye but I will probably try it out for giggles.

But I have to agree with Flash, I think Megs has pushed the hype a little long. They need to just release it already

What hype? They announced it at SEMA. Do a search of the various forums and you will find post after post of assumptions and speculations. If anything, myself and a few others of us that have tested the system then posted pictures of vehicles we polished with it are the guilty ones.

Lol at the comment about needing another compound, I am in same boat you are with my exisitng Meguars compounds and polishes and my Menzerna line, then throw in 3M Ultrafine...

If you can remember back to when the Solo system was supposed to be released, it was the same thing, accept it got pulled at the last minute do to perfomance issues on different paint types I believe is what I was told, That sent a lot of people throught the roof!

It seems as though you already have a bias towards this product, which is sad because beta testers should be able to remain unbiased and give their honest opinions about the products they are testing. I have personally seen this system tested, and you are flat out wrong when you say it works well on all DA machines. I can't elaborate on that now, but it's the truth.

I am very excited about this system being released, but people need to be honest with themselves and the community about it's intended purpose and capabilities. This system is going to be awesome, but I think people are going to be disappointed only because it has been hyped so much. There is so much pressure on this system, and there is no way it can live up to all the hype. If this system was released without all the hype it would impress alot of people, me included, but I just can't help thinking people are going to feel cheated or mislead when they actually get their hands on it.
 
Mark, I don't think I can. Everybody that has tested this product has signed paperwork promising not to disclose the performance of the system or post pics... yada yada yada.......

Well I think people have gone well past that. There have been plenty of thread with pictures and descriptions of the performance.

Who said I didn't like the system? In fact I said I do like the system. All I have said is that it isn't the revolution that everyone is talking about. It is just another tool to use detailing vehicles. I feel bad for all the people who are going to buy it based on the hype and be disappointed. Oh and you said it works on all DA's...sounds like talking about the performance to me.
