Where did my post go?

as read in a pervious post, my only issue is being aware of other worthy products that ag might consider making available on their store site. all vendors must weigh quality versus a good price point to purchase from suppliers to make a profit. it appears most in here are saavy enough to search other worthy detail forum sites to ask questions and compare the ag line versus other products. it appears ag carries a nice extensive selection and is growing constantly. personally i like their product line and most importantly their customer service follow up. its all about free enterprise folks and the healthy competition gives us the consumers all the benefits.

that said, i don't believe posting competitors' website links is good form. talking about or comparing other products is certainly a grey area. however, if it was my business site, i'd be uncomfortable reading about competitive products but i also believe pm'ing meghan or another moderator to suggest additional worthy product lines is fine and as a businessman i would welcome the suggestions.

I'm not arguing the point that the rules should be enforced fairly. If the issue is not enough mods to cover everything, well then it is time to get some more mods. The rules say no links or pictures or discussion, if that is done, ya you can be pissed, but really, what recourse is there? On other forums I am on, if we post not sponser links, they are edited, the content is not deleted, that could be a soultion here, I don't see the issue with discusion (especially if it is a comparo). But the bashing of AG, the fourm, and the mods isn't really needed. They are here to enforce the rules (same thing with people complaining about cops when they get tickets, they are just enforcing the law). I think the rules should be enforced equally too, that may be something that needs to be looked at. Maybe a rule change to at least allow talk of other products is needed, but in the end, it is up to them to allow what they want.


No one is forcing you to stay here, and I really don't think that threat is going to change the rules or anything (not that you meant it). You contribute a lot to the forum, but getting so worked up over an issue like this is pretty lame. I say let it go and play by the rules. Makes things a lot easier.

Im not basing the forum, members, mods, or anyone. I love it here along with all the great members.

Ive stated numerous times that I dont care about links, thats a good rule IMO. But IMO, if we cant discuss other products then thats BS.

I wasnt make a threat, nor trying to get anything changed by that statement. Could of went without it, but its for future reference if things start going downhill. But again, I dont see it happening, so we can just ignore that.

And Im not really worked up about it. I just dont want this forum to go downhill.

I am fully aware of the AG rules, I was just under the impression they had been relaxed. I like AG, I like the forum, I like the members, I like the products that are being sold. My post isn't about bashing any of the above.

I was just merely wondering where my post went. Nica (don't mean to pick on you, you know I love you man!) for example posted about the clay he recently purchased and it was discussed in great detail. Nothing ever happened to that post!

But I just merely showed off my recent CG order and mentioned how much I liked their MFs. How is that any different?

The AG forum is comprised of particular vendors. Is there something wrong with vendors having rules about what they want in there forums?
I don't think Meguiar's forum mods would take to kindly to having threads about Pinnicle or Wolfgang product in there forums.

I really don't see the problem, you all agreed to the rules when you registered here. It is not up to use to decied which rules we think are right and wrong. Just like driving. If you are speeding and get caught, you don't tell the cop that you weren't breaking the law, you were only showing the car's potential. You also can't argue and say that other people do it, so why can't you (ie: the foam cannon). It is AG's rules, and they can enforce them how they please. I really don't see the harm in talking about competitor's products, but it isn't my place to argue that point. If you don't like AG's rules, move on. It's that simple...

Oh, and I have a backyard, and will test.

I appreciate what is being said here, as for product lines we might consider, as you will notice when we are looking to take on new lines we have no problem coming to you guys. We have before and along came Menzerna, as for Zaino we know you want it, email Sal and tell him to give us a call. You name what you want and we go after it as long as there is a need, we will carry it. We are ALWAYS working on new lines, we want to serve all lines you desire. Sometimes due to the other vendors that is not possible, but you are always free to PM me with a line. I will give you an honest answer and why we dont carry it and or if we will. As for our customer service, well those women deserve a badge, I hate to brag about them, but come on?!?! AG is what customer service should be, Max would not have it any other way, trust me! We work very hard to bring you what we believe to be the best service we can offer.
I appreciate all of the opinions, but this was neccessary due to our growth, as we grow adjustments have to be made. Just remember as we grow we are doing so to better serve you the customer. :grouphug:

P1et --- as you are probably now aware, your post was moved to the mod corner, not by me, but by Admin. Why ?? Because I warned them I was quite challenging to you on your post with Autopia and did not want to unfairly represent Autogeek. You see as a mod, I can sometimes allow personal feelings to interfere with relationship and thus want it reviewed in case I should remove/edit my comments. I was policing myself as well as the forum.

Dan --- I dont know where the chip has recently come from, I got your PM and sent it to Admin because I too never saw you link inappropriately (dont worry I keep tallys on the abusers) and hoped things would be resolved. Remember I did not ever contact you, and recently offered you samples for your evaluation. Sometimes it takes a moment or two to clear things up.

I know you rights have been damaged , your religion percecuted, and your political stance trampled all in the name of a little moderator to promote the products of that forums owner. What I will tell you all is I too challenged Autogeek recently on the foam cannon post. I do feel and will say so publicly that it should NOT have been posted initially. It was clearly an outside offering against a product we sell. Like you all I was told it was to remain, and did so. I accepted it at faces value, and moved on. What I did find out afterwards was the individual had gotten preapproval and persuaded AG to allow the post based upon its benefit to forum until we could stock product as wanted.

In closing, please review the Admin's statement above. This is how I will mod (or as some suggest police) the site going forward.

No hard feelings here. Not saying you didnt, but I cant remember you offering me products. Couldnt find it in the thread either?

The rules have been made clear, this is a forum for AG's customers and products. Thats what AG needed to do, make them clear.​

Um, what about posting pictures about the products you purchase that are not purchased here at AG, is it okay to post those pictures up? Reason I ask is becuase I'm guilty of doing that my self and if you guys say no posting pictures then I wont just want to make sure I play by the rules that's all :cheers:

lets just say that if all your pics were "always" of another vendor that might become an issue. The pics P provided on his post were fine. Again in most cases it is same as always. Nothing wrong with noting a product, comparing a product, and/or showing a product. Its the linking, selling, and endorsing it (from a shill or hidden vendor) that is inappropriate.

I will tell you what I tell all thru PM when asked why Autogeek.net exists. It was and is designed to "enhance the positive sales experience from Autogeek". Its going a step further is showing best practices, actual use, and the voice of multiple users. It is however a private forum and not open to advertisers or resellers.

Okay, I think I got it so pictures of other products I've purhcased like the Ricardo clay lets use that as an example. AG is okay of me posting pictures as long as I don't blow it out of protportion...am I understanding clearly...sorry killr don't mean to be a pest but like I said I like this place and I love the members and just don't want find my self in a bad spot one day that's all.

I love to share what I purchase with everyone here just to share that's all no harm meant from my part, in no way have I or will I ever bash AG's products just posting pic's of things I purchase that's all.

Even though I wish AG would be more lienient with certain rules and get very frustrated when I have to turn to Autopia (rude members w less knowledge), I have to say its their business and its their forum, they can do as they wish whether fair or not.

The only real protest one can make is either not to post or not to support their business. Nothing else you can do.

I am here because I have never found a nicer group of members on a forum, and I love being a part of this group (despite the frustrations).
