Which is your main "go-to" AIO (All In One)?

Anyone here tried Meguiar's white wax? If D151 is so popular, I would think White Wax would be just as popular if not more??

Also interested to try Optimum poli-seal.
 
^ I've heard really good stories about Meguiars White Wax. Michael Stoops from Meguiars told it to us when we were at TNOG.

It was something along the lines that he ended up using it after using other products for a specific job. And it worked so Well that he went and told the chemist over at Meguiar's that they really need to develop it to sell it in the gallon version. I think it would be for the Detailer line.

It's just what I remember so don't know how accurate my story is, but I do want to try it out now.
 
M66 and D151 are my "go to's" D151 obviously has more cut ability, but I personally like the 66 a little more. It has decent cut, polishes paint very nicely and is incredibly easy to work with in almost any condition and finishes and wipes off almost too effortlessly. If something doesn't really need the extra cut of D151, I will almost always use M66.

You can buy D151 in bulk (gallon size), whereas that is not the case with WW. Hence why D151 is still more popular, especially with pro detailers. :props:

Outstanding cleaning ability, finish, ease of use. The protection (wax) part is weak though. Other than Lusso Paint Cleaner or Swissvax Cleaner Fluid Regular, you're not going to beat Tripple.

Makes sense, but for enthusiasts working on personal cars, I'm surprised it doesn't get more mention. From what I've read, it seems like a killer product. You can vary the cut by pad choice while finishing down like a fine polish, and leaves behind protection that supposedly lasts longer than D151 (I think I read that in Mike Stoops MOL white wax thread). Anyhow, i can't recall exactly why I walked away thinking it was "better" than D151 but I know I've been wanting to try it. Sounds like a great AIO. Especially after seeing what it did to that white van Mike worked on.
 
Agreed, WW is a great AIO. And it is supposed to last longer that D151.

It also uses SMAT as opposed to DAT in D151. The cut levels are similar though.
 
Wait, so D151 is not SMAT? Well, that's probably why I recall thinking it was "better". I need dummy proof! lol Will definitely give it a shot in the spring.
 
D151 and white wax are both SMAT. Check out Mike P's SMAT pack aggressiveness thread.

I remember there was some confusion about this over on MOL. I'm obviously still confused! :doh:
 
HD Speed for me. I tried a sample and have never used another AIO since then. I have had great results with MF pads or foam depending on the hardiness of the paint.
 
Meg's D151 on an orange pad, topped with M21 Sealant.
 
I used Optimum GPS this weekend. It worked great ,and no complaints with it.

Steps:
Optimum Car Was Soap
Clay - ONR as clay lubricant
Rupes 21 on a orange LC medium cut foam pad.
Optimum GPS
Optimum Spray Wax - for the final wipe.

Whilst I appreciate you may be looking to narrow things down to a single product, but I believe that you have to match the AIO to the objective of the detail.

For example, on a white car, to me, the objective is more about CLEANING the paint as opposed to removing swirls - I will usually reach for Tripple (it is also my go-to product for door shuts/under the hood etc).

If I was tackling a red car with softish paint that measured thick (in the context of paint) maybe I would grab something like Meguiars Cleaner Wax which in comparison to has more cutting ability.

If I was working on much thinner paint, maybe something like Autoglym SRP which fills more would be what I grabbed.

You get the idea....

Although product availability over here is limited the AIO's I have played with all tend to have their strengths and weaknesses.
 
I tried Meguiar's White Wax a couple of weeks ago, and I was very impressed. Cleaning ability is outstanding as evidenced by my pads (super dirty). Really brought out the depth in my wife's silver RX330. It also was very effective at removing swirls. This is with only 4 passes max per section with a Meg's mf finishing disc (it finished down very nicely). Took me about 2 hours for the entire vehicle - Now that's my kind of product!

Pinnacle XMT 360....corrects, cleans and seals.
 
@sparkism13 That is wonderful. People seem to think that those "neutral" colors like silver and champagne and sand appear to stay cleaner, but I find they actually get really dirty and dull, and show fantastic results with just a little bit of extra effort. Good job!
