Which paste wax would look the best on a metallic orange?

Would Max Wax look any good? I see that it's bogo.

Did it look as good in person as it did in the pics??

it looked a little deeper in person than in the pics. He liked the way it looked so he actually ordered a big tub of it. For the whole process, we used PB pro polish, ex-sealant, and natty's blue.

Natty's red looks great on metallics too.

Believe it or not they all work well!

I've even used Collinite 845 on a candy apple red metallic and the paint looked sick it glowed so much! :props:

Megs Gold Class Carnauba Plus Paste is always a good choice!

Really it comes down to prep work. I polished our Carbon Black (metallic) 2011 Regal last night and sealed it up for the Winter. I need something that was going to provide the best durability agains road salt and a few trips through a touchless car wash when I'm not home to hand wash it. The choice was easy, Duragloss 601/105. Didn't mute the flakes one bit, the finish is extremely slick and the paint looks so wet.

Now back to your question, Max Wax is a good choice, especially since it's BOGO right now. Pinnacle Signature Series II is another excellent choice as well as Fuzion. Really it comes down to your budget.

In October I laid down three coats of Finish Kare 1000p on our metallic silver blue CR-V. It really is gorgeous, and if anecdotal testimony is true, it will provide three to four times longer durability than any other paste wax sold by AutoGeek (or maybe anybody else, for that matter)--of course, that's because it's 100% synthetic and not a carnauba-synthetic hybrid. I have found it easy to apply and remove, and you can't beat the price--$16 for a 15 oz tin!

Can I ask what you used to seal it? My car is a DD and I drive it during the winter. I'm getting splash guards for the winter, but I want as much protection as possible? Is Griot's sealant any good? I can get it locally.

I haven't tried Griot's sealant so I can't comment. To be honest, I haven't met anyone that has used it. I may order it just to sample it. My choice was Duragloss 601 first then topped with Duragloss 105. I'm not taking away from any sealant on the market, I just happen to really like Duragloss. Stay tuned to this forum because I will be testing several sealants this Winter.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0
Blackfire Wet Diamond
Duragloss 105
Duragloss 111

Rejex is a possibility and if I pick up Griot's I may add that also.
