I am trying to decide between the Duetto and the Rupes Mini.....I already have a Flex 3401 and a nano ibrid but i am tryin to decide which one i should get right now i use a older meguiars da for small pads. Not real impressed with it but it was my first one just wondering if the rupes mini would serve me better for smaller 3 and 4 inch pads. As far as paint correction i only use the flex 3401 on big areas right now so looking for something a lil smaller and lighter possibly that does a good job.

Probably the Mini.

The Duetto uses 6" pads (5" velcro).

Get the Mini you won't regret it.

From research i take it you cant go small on the bp for the duetto and it function properly as i was hoping because if so it would be just like the mini.

Well i pulled the trigger on the mini i figured i could use the meguiars only for applying waxes now. I couldnt pass up the 25% off on the Rupes that never happens. Now i just have to not let the wife find out lol.

I have the Duetto would imagine that the mini is a little beast of a machine. In a good way.

Dlc95, are the minis just as smooth as the Duetto is?

Absolutely!

Also, because there is no anti spin the rotation is pretty intense, even at low speed settings.

It's one of those tools you don't think you're going to use as much as you actually do.

Sounds Familiar! LOL

A pc7424 at a 3" pad size will dominate defects and at a low investment cost. I'm not into correcting a entire vehicle with a PC but find great results with jeweling with a PC7424.

i have the griots mini, i know it doesn't have a lot of balls but its not bad with the new 3" boss pads. i also have a 3" backing plate for the gg6 or whatever. it might be to powerful that way idk if i even want to use it. i find i can pretty much do every part of the car with a 5" pad and the flex even if it overhangs a little

Sale was President's Day Sale... I'm waiting for the next one for this mini...

I have the mini but still have not figured out how to keep pad spinning went back to garrots

I wanted to get a Duetto, but To save a few bucks I got a CG Torq X .. this little machine does a great
job for the money ($125.00) kinda like a cross between a PC and a garrots.

OMG. Rupes 25% off?!?! When and how did I miss this. what was the sale for?

I thought that was a glitch in the system and in the end prices were adjusted to account for the standard Rupees Exclusion. I remember seeing it and reading the next day that the sale prices on Rupes were...uh, revoked.

Thinking about taking it to DD I live close to them and let them tell me if its normal
