which wax?

I have 2 personal cars that I am going to detail. I know what I have to do, but I am hung up on 2 things. First is a white tundra truck. Being white, I intend on using collinite 845 for a wax. That should be fine for a white car, right? Second is a 2010 red mustang. Paint is in good shape. I am going to use a meguiars wax, but which one? Ultimate wax, nxt 2.0, gold class, or M26? The car was waxed in november by hand with nxt 2.0. This time I have a hf da polisher. I am looking for the "wet" look. Which do you suggest? Also, in researching all of this(newbie here)I see mention of a ipa wipe down. Is this something I should do to both before waxing? Thanks all, you have been a great help already.
 
Collinite 845 is like Franks Red Hot to me. I put that #$@& on everything!

That being said, I would just stick with Collinite 845...can't go wrong protection wise. The wet, shiny look comes from the polishing and claying part of the process.
 
While some waxes may look wetter Kyle is right, the real wet look will come from polishing and/or glazing before wax/sealant. Some even prefer to polish, seal, then add a good carnauba paste wax for a bit more shine. If you aren't wanting to polish with anything abrasive, then you could do something like Meg's m7 show car glaze or cg blacklight(which has very mild abrasives that will really only act on the paint with a polishing pad and higher speed and pressure), then seal with say m21 or your sealant of choice(ultimate wax would be good too), then if wanting more shine add a carnauba of your choice on top after the sealer cures. This would look exceptionally well on the red mustang.
 
For the Red vehicle:

•Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax...(UPW)

•Meguiar's Ulimate Quik Wax.....(UQW)
Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax, spray wax, synthetic spray wax, quick wax, meguiars quick spray wax, paint protectant, liquid wax, meguires, meguiars car


-Apply a very thin film-layer of UPW to all the painted surfaces.
-Wait for the UPW to dry/"haze"; until it passes: "The Swipe Test" <<<(MP)
-Use spritzes of UQW to aid in the UPW's "haze" removal process.
-"The Final Buff" <<<(MP)
-Allow 24 hours for cure time.

In that situation I might go for a cleaner wax type of product. Maybe Duragloss 101 or 501. They're actually a cleaner / sealant. For being dual purpose products, they really leave an excellent finish.
 
If you are looking for a nice "wet" look UW or NXT topped with M26 gives a real nice look.
 
MaxWax! I love the combination of just fluid looks with sharp reflections. By far the best wax appearance wise per $$ spent for me.
 
Collinite 845 shines more than Ultimate Wax on any colour, I have used both extensively.
 
I just used 845 on a red BMW after polishing and it looked great.
 
Love love love Collinite. That being said ...any wipe on walk away polymer sealant is goning to apply way easier, shine better, and protect/last longer IMHO.

Ah, I "scanned" again...

If that's the case, my vote would be #26. It's ridiculously wet looking.

just read the thread about how to use it properly ;)
 
+1 on the Souverän paste wax been using it for years and love it, but lately I've been curious about Zymol titanium. anyone tried this wax before?
