White Powdery Stain / Corvette Interior

Sure Cockpit Premium fixes it, but when you pay that much, should you have to pay anything extra to fix it?
No car is perfect, I don't care if it's a Buggati Veyron. I couldn't care less that I have to spend a few bucks to knock out the white residue. The Corvette is an American icon and many people dream to have one. Im the MAN

I thought I made it clear Asphalt Rocket that I had detailed a C5 last week that had a similar issue and Cockpit Premium took care of it.

I do find it interesting that now your starting to call me names.
:offtopic:

Thats all good and well and you should have left it at that, but then you had to quote me and knowing I have a vette. It was very obvious what your intentions are/were so what I said in your words as name calling is actually what you are being so it would be considered the truth. Now that I have explained myself we both know what your intensions were as others have read, so now lets keep it on topic and there is no need for you to post in this thread anymore because you have nothing to contribute but useless sarcasm.

lets keep this on track ... interiors not member attacks !

You mean sports car. There hasn't been a real muscle car made since the early 70's ;)

Once again it is known as America's first muscle car, on top of that the cars are making more horsepower than most from the 70's, and in cars I just do not mean the vettes.

By the way what kind of cars do you own and drive?

Actually the new vettes' are considered to be the cheapest "super cars". :) Compared to other super cars i guess. Not that they're actually cheap, i can't afford one honestly.

The Corvette first came on the scene in 1953 and has been "the" only true American sports car in my opinion. Through the years it has set and broken just about every record in speed, horsepower, and sheer muscle.

The newest model that supports this fact is the 2010 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. It comes equipped with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that produces 638 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 604 pound-feet of torque at 3,800 rpm. A short-throw six-speed manual transmission is standard. According to Chevy, the 2010 Corvette ZR1 has a top speed of 205 mph. The standing 1/4 mile times is 10.85 at 130mph bone stock with factory tires.

Recently the ZR1 went up against an animal from Lamborghini called the Lamborghini LP 670-4 SV. The number 670 represents the car's metric horsepower rating (661 bhp in the U.S.), the SV stands for SuperVeloce (extreme speed) and the number 4 signifies all-wheel-drive.

There's plenty of videos showing the Lamborghini trying to outrun the ZR1 but it just can, no matter how hard they tried. The sticker price for the 670-4 SV is set to be around $450,000 and only 350 SVs will be produced. In comparison, the ZR1 Corvette MSRP of $108,180 seems like a real bargain. Pound for pound and dollar for dollar the ZR1 Corvette wins hands down.

I'm pretty sure the 64' GTO holds that title as the first American muscle car. You seem upset so don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the Corvette at all (other then the mid - late 70's) as they can be very fast and are gorgeous to look at.

I have had everything from early Camaros, Chevelles, turbo Buicks and so on. Now if you want to talk about really fast cars that I have had that would have been my FED dragster and an 81 Monte Carlo. Take a look at this thread and you can see a couple http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/off-topic/25269-new-shop-getting-somewhere.html

I have driven everything from Corvettes, Ferraris and one Posche but my heart is in old muscle cars and drag cars.

Now back to the powder, I have seen this in a couple of Corvettes and wondered myself what the cause is. All I could think of was a poor quality plastic.

Not upset at all,nor does it matter if someone is knocking the corvette, I have had all different kind of cars but seem to favor the vette since I own them as of now. Seems like you had a hidden agenda by quoting me. I agree some say it was the GTO but I guess it depends on where your loyality is as far as make of cars. I would agree all mid-70's through the mid 80's all cars lacked the power and looks.

How fast was your dragster? I use to drive a Pro Mod car for my old boss. Then I had my own street car, 10 inch tire car, went 8.80's in the 1/4 in early 90's.

I am with you on the old muscle cars, I much prefer detailing them, owning them and driving them.

As far as the plastic I don't know if you can call it poor quality plastic, since the plastic itself is fine, but it sure does like to turn white. It is almost as bad as the early 90's Hondas that would outgas so bad your windows would be covered in a film within a day.

Nope no hidden agenda at all, just wanted to make sure you understand that I wasn't knocking the Corvette by my statement.

I think corvettes are junk.

^ These statement should surely get this thread closed

You're killing me Sausage Fingers:dblthumb2:, the funny part is I know you are joking unlike the above poster.

Joke or not I'd rep him because I find the statement to stand true, but everyone has their preferences in cars, just like they do everything else.

Im the MAN
