Why I am ditching my favorite sealant (Polymer Net Shield) for CQuartz UK. Is PNS flawed, or is it just me?

Ok, whatever.

-PNS is not flawed.

Results from CQuartz look great!

I'm a SONAX Polymer Net Shield Fan and in fact just recently I had Rob McCrary and Jason Whiteley from SONAX as my guests for our Saturday Cars & Coffee Tech Session and they demonstrated Polymer Net Shield.

Both products, CQuartz and Polymer Net Shield are top shelf products. Nothing wrong with testing out other products and when you find one you like better that's what it's all about.

People are different. Car paint is different.

What's really important is having choices.

Haven't read all the responses, so might be told already. But most shampoos and the CG foam for sure have gloss enhancers in them. These will cover the PNS and mask the water behaviour from PNS. So PNS isn't failing. You will havrle the exact same problem with CQUK, unless you use reload every time. But themln you might as well use BSD for PNS

I use PNS on all my vehicles, and it's very easy to use, trust me if I can use it with no problems then anyone can, because I'm by no means a pro detailer:)

Im fairly confident Honey Dew doesn't have gloss enhancers.
Mainly because it never inhibits beading if the car stays clean, its only after it gets hit with contaminants that the beading never comes back.

I don't know what you mean by touch less? How would I not touch it?

I do a regular wash.

I was basically asking if you were just foaming and rinsing (touch less) which may not remove the contamination, or doing a regular wash with a mitt. Maybe you should try a different shampoo. I have been using PNS for over a year and have never had the issue that you are having, even with one of my cars being parked outside for the past 6 months.

With a wash mit, I'll try a different soap.

Why I am ditching my favorite sealant (Polymer Net Shield) for CQuartz UK. Is...

For my own car which I maintain well, I'd never ditch PNS or FK1000p for any coating on my own car. I say that because I have found those two super sealants to not only look great, but they self clean and shed water better than any coating I've personally tried. Plus to keep my ride looking show room perfect I polish it thoroughly twice a year so a coating is no real benefit to me. Coatings scratch as easily as clearcoats and in fact water spotting is worse than I experienced with the two. Sealants I mentioned. I do prefer a coating on my wife's car however. It's the family car and perfectly suited for it. I like Evo v2 as my go to for cars I'm know will get abused and not probably not going to be hand washed every week. I get the part about coatings being thicker and harder than a sealant, but I seriously doubt that most users ever get two or three years out of them before they get polished off for and reapplied for one reason or another. But like I said for a car that's going to get the crap beat out of it, coatings are really the only option.

Annoying.

It certainly has gloss enhancers. These will also give you beading, but might be muted much easier by contaminants then PNS. So you'd actyally should be blaming honey dew or the shampoo you are using.

People oftwn forget that working with (semi-) coatings requires a lot more attention to which products are used to maintain them. No wax or gloss enhancers should be present in the maintenance products. Same with a QD. These all cover up the coating.
Change your shampoo to carpro reset and use a decent snow foam that only cleans. You'll see a world of difference

Already ordered reset and I'm going to try my adams in the foamer and see how that goes because i know adams shampoo doesn't have gloss enhancers.

What soaps play nice with PNS?

I've used CG honey dew, Mr pink and Adam's shampoo on SPNS with no problems.... I boost it with d156 after every wash and it beads insanely just like day 1, its been on a little over a month now

I don't know regarding the availability of it in USA, but Sonax Nano Lack Protect is pretty good stuff, I believe it is stronger than PNS.

It states a durability of 12 months.

A bit off topic, but a sealant that really amazed me, regarding durability, is PolishAngel Viking Shield; I used on wife's car, and it is going strong after six months, and her car is bombarded daily by bird bombs, she parks under the trees at work.

Best regards.
