Why I will never pay more than $20 for a wax!

I didn't even know they still sold Rain Dance, better find my parachute pants, Muscle Beach shirt and Nike Vandals and head down there and pick some up, LOL!

I'd like to see some beading shots lol

It actually rained today here and the water beaded really. I didn't get any pics but it really did a fine job. Of course it's a vary new application so it should bead well right? I'm not gonna leave it on long enough to see how durable it is.
I liked the Nattys Red so much on my white car I'm gonna try it on this black paint this weekend.

Wonder is AG could start carrying Rain Dance? It should be easy enough for them to get, its now made by the Cyclo Company in Juniper Florida.

I do like the dancing blue vinyl man:

The reflectivity is there ill give you that. But wheres the gloss? Paint almost looks a little dull to me :dunno:
As I recall, it's pretty opaque looking and pastel blue in color. I don't believe it would deliver as clear a shine as other products. I think the best looking off the shelf product is Mother's California Gold paste wax with no cleaners. By the way, I think Rain Dance has polish in it. It always was a cleaner wax.
how hard was it to remove and completely buff off .... that's what I remember as the least attractive feature of store bought products.

At the end of the day its all about what works for you and what meets your budget. Often times I think about Finishkare and Collonite at that price point also, and they both offer a lot of value.
If I wanted the most durable wax for the money, I would use Collinite.

Thanks for noticing the lack of orange peel!
I did wet sand it some time ago. I bought a junk hood at a Pull-A-Part a while back and practiced sanding and buffing. It was a hood off of a Cadillac Catera that was metallic green. By the time I was done, that hood looked incredible. I was totally amazed.

I couldn't stand it anymore, so I wet sanded the hood of the Rover. Pictures don't do it justice. In person it is truely breath taking. I buffed all the way down to Meguiars hand polish with a finishing pad on the air sander. Once I finished with a sample of WG DGPS with some Liquid Souveran samples I traded for . . . It was truly spectaular.

Again, Thanks for noticing
Excellent job on the wet sand.
So, you have good quality and not cheap prep material and you're not going to protect all that effort you did with a $4 wax? LOL... I can see this wax not even protecting for a month.
Rain Dance was the first wax I ever used, and I went through 3 or 4 cans of it in the 80's. It IS a long lasting product. I'm sure it will last at least 2-3 months.

It used to be on every can. :)

Rain Dance is a decent product. It is long lasting. However, it really isn't as nice as what I use now.

On Natty's Red, it looks great and is easy to use, and doesn't attract much dust, but it doesn't last very long.

Ha ha, not only did they pick up Rain Dance, but Rally and No. 7 products. All they need now is Kit.

Were the lc pads used of the ccs variety? I've used the lc ccs green with megs ultimate polish, but not with a more agressive compound (yet!).

When I was really young, I remember helping my uncle wax his Monte Carlo - with Rain Dance! His cars always looked great. Those were some good times!

I'm shocked that Rain Dance is still being made or the fact someone retailer "found" some and decided to sell it along.

I just got Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Car Wax ($39.99) and Pinnacle Souveran Liquid Spray Wax ($24.99) last night. This is the most I have ever spent on wax in my life. I have been waxing my DDs since the late 1960's. I have a new black Lexus. (my first black car) I have waited my entire life for a car like this. I want it to look good! I hope I am not disappointed. I would welcome any feedback on my choice.

Thumbs up bro!!!!! I would never use rain dance but it looks good.. I think my days of buying expensive Nuba waxes are over especially after the revisit to M26 ...I've been buying expensive waxes since 06 and that love affair is over... I used duragloss over the winter with stellar results and did not spend $45 bucks for a product that took a dump after the first encounter with road salt...

It's not the wax- it's the prep. Compound and polish that make a car sing. Wax is just protection.

I use Mothers ste 3 brazilian pure carnauba wax all the time $8 a bottle ad looks great

I agree!!! Love it in the winter!!!! The only other products I keep on hand other than Duragloss or M26 now are KAIO and Poorboy's EXP ... I really still love the look of EXP and that's one product I will always keep on hand and is a far better value than all of its $35-$50 competitors

I fully agree...75% of what I use now on my car is DG...Honestly dollar for dollar they are my go to...Just not a fan of the compound/polish and never messed alot with the sealants but that is changing shortly...

Another thing that's not mentioned much about DG sealants are that you can wash your car in a touchless car wash week after week and the paint remains as good as the day you put on the product. This past winter I never touched my car. I got lazy and just took it to the touchless car wash every week for 4 months. I put on DG 501 last fall. The paint this spring was flawless when I did my spring clay/polish/seal routine again. I can't say that about any other line of products I've tried.
