Why would anyone use a DA for paint correction??

is there any MF correcting system that is suited and works well with the flex 3401?

I find any of the microfiber pads with the thicker foam core work best. We used the Lake Country Ultra Microfiber Pads with the Flex 3401 on both of the below projects.

Read the comments all the way through the 2012 Dodge Challenger thread as your question is addressed specifically...

Here's Robert testing out the thick LC Ultra MF Pads and Paul testing out the thin LC Ultra MF Pads

Robert is very good behind any polisher and always focuses on using good technique...

The pad you see on the Flex 3401 is the LC Ultra Microfiber Pad for use with rotary buffers being used with the 3401.

Unfortunately, I don't own a DA or Rotary polisher. Yet. All I have are my two hands, some oval LC hand pads and some sweat and muscle. I think I did a pretty good job for a newbie. But I know a DA will make things MUCH faster and simpler.

if you are limited on funds (or may only use it once a year or so) and want a DA for around $50 (look for HF coupons in the car mags), check out the HF DA. you'll need a 5" backing plate and obviously pads to go with it...
