Window Trim?

On my WRX my window trim is turning white in some spots. I’ve tried 1Z Einszett Gummi Pflefe and PB TR with no luck. I’m wondering if there’s anything else that can be used on it to bring color back?

Really Gummi Pflege didn't work? It worked awesome on my 08' Impreza, but then again it is an 2008. I did however use it on my girls 1998 Firebird and it made her trim new again. I'm assuming you did clean the trim before using it right?

Also, if the trim is not clean (as stated above) you should definitely clean it with a specified product instead of just your car wash soap. I would try one of these:
Griot's Garage Rubber Cleaner, exterior trim cleaner, clean rubber moldings, tire cleaner, griots garage
Corey (CEEDOG) likes the rubber cleaner. I have never personally used it.

I have personally used this but it doesn't work as well as I'd like for it to. It does work quite well.
 
I use 303 with great results. Applied a few times. It seems they can only take so much at a time so I do it like once a week even if they look good already, and eventually it'll just bead on the surface. Then you know they're "full". After that it lasts all winter.

But I wonder if your whiteness could just be old wax instead of oxidation/old age. In that case you could try cleaning it with soap (or rubber cleaner) and a rag, or even a toothbrush. Although I have taken minor wax residue out of the sunroof gasket with 303 and a little rubbing.

After you get it cleaned up or black again, I just started putting Klasse SG on mine to seal out dirt and fading. It puts a nice smooth looking satin gloss on the rubber. Makes them slightly darker too. Looks good.

I used APC+ 10:1 to clean it and applied Gummi Pflege but it didn't bring the color back at all.

There's no point in buying Griot's rubber cleaner if you have a quality APC. The APC will do the same thing. If you need stronger, just dilute it stronger. JMO. :)
 
If it's textured plastic, you can use a dressing/protectant. If it's smooth plastic, you might try a compound (yes, I said compound) to bring it back.

Then follow up with something like Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax, which works great on paint, windows, and plastic trim.

I've been using paste wax on smooth rubber window trim for a while now, it makes the trim look great, beads water and lasts a long time. In prep for waxing the trim, I'll clay it and maybe a little XMT 360. Most recently, I applied WG DGPS 3.0 to the window trim on my friends new (to him) 2001 Audi A6, it looked much better than before. I'll be waxing it for sure though.

That's very odd. Do you have any pictures? I would try applying it 2 or 3 times. Also, try Mothers Back-to-Black. I find that works great also.

I knew what you meant. ;)

I didn't think of it before but I'll bet Klasse AIO will work. A chemical cleaner with a nice sealer to make it shine and keep it clean.

Try APC 4:1 and if that doesnt work, try Forever Black for tires. IME Ultima is best after restoring color with APC. Good luck Slava!
