I've been searching the forums on my phone but it's a little hard. I'm wondering if I can drive before the 12 hour cure time on the car. Will I be safe driving home an hour distance while the deep gloss has been sitting on the car for a good 6 hours. I would also need to wax the car after the gloss cures is this safe if driving is ok

I'm pretty new but from what I have read it's more that you don't want to expose it to water more than anything. So it would be ok to drive if it's not wet out. I would wait the

12/ then wash before waxing to remove any contamination you picked up driving home.

I personally wouldn't recommend it. your exposing your car to the elements. keep your car in the garage and just wait it out

You will be fine, but you might have to QD before waxing.

Not a problem, I have done it a many a times on my personal cars and trucks.
On Customer's cars I go with Chemical Guys JetSeal 109 because of the curing time, then apply wax.

Thanks I'm waiting it out going to throw some doodoo juice blue velvet first time on this laser blue Chevy.

ONE Question : my blue LC pad that I used for the Wolfgang deep gloss is oozing out a grease like gel which I'm guessing is the gloss? I can't even clean this pad it just keeps oozing and the gel is almost water proof ? Is this pad junk it was brand new first time using

Clean it the best you can and dedicate it for the Wolfy sealant.

Drive it, keep it dry if at all possible. Even if it gets wet all you lose is some durability. There is no "must" to top Wolfgang with a wax, it looks mighty sharp all by itself.

For my first time on this truck I didn't find the deep amazing gloss I wads hoping for ? I did the Wolfgang 3.0 system and ending with deep gloss but still think it needs pop haven't seen it in perfect sun since its been overcast.

Depending what your using to top it but I topped 3.0 with Fuzion and was very disappointed in the results.

I usually let DGPS set on the paint for about a hour, wipe it off and try to not drive it for as long as possible. I also have tried topping it with Fuzion the day after with poor results.

DGPS is currently my favorite LSP. Unbelievable slickness, awesome gloss, amazing beading, great durability.

I've driven my car after applying it with not much of a change in much of anything. My vote goes for driving it after a few hours.

It's 90% prep work and only 10% LSP. Your final outcome will only look as good as what you did in the polishing stage. If you polished the paint correctly, Turtle Wax will look good.

I really like DGPS......

I use Optimum Power Clean to clean them. After I am done, I spray the pad liberally and let it sit for an hour or so then rinse with hot water. I may use more OPC when rinsing,

Are you also over saturating the pad? If you take the pad on the polisher and then kiss the paint with the pad (push pad paint and compress fully), if you see much WGDPS on the paint when you life off then you could be using more than you need. WGDPS will almost feel like it hazes (gets thicker) as you spread it (Powerlock and BFWD are also similar) so does not spread as easily as other liquids or softer pastes so you may think you need more.

I absolutely loooove the Wolfgang 3.0 sealant.. I use it as my lsp on all my corrections and have not had a single complaint. I have even ha to leave it on as little as 2 hours due to a customer needing the vehicle, still looks awesome almost a year later! I clean the car every 2 weeks and it beads water like the day I applied it!

A lot of my regular customers drive off with WGDGPS when it's been on the paint for roughly two hours. I usually just tell them to make sure it doesn't get wet.

When they come back for another service...it's still on the paint, and going strong. So, to me...that's the answer. As long as you don't get the paint wet...it appears to be fine.

BUT, obviously you aren't going to be quite as protected until that curing process is through. It's up to you whether you want to take the chance at driving it, and possibly getting caught in the rain and compromising all your hard work.

A good combo is WG DPS and then apply the WG DPS spray. The spray adds a lot more gloss.

I use WGDGPS and AG says 12 hour cure time before exposing it to water so it don't drown the polymers before they cure. I dont have a garage just a car port but I let dry to a haze about 30 minutes then buff off and hopefully in this SE Louisiana weather the humidity holds off and don't ruin it but during the summer u can't avoid the humidity with in 12 hours it's impossible without a garage, but tell the truth I never had a problem the next day with the sealant it still is slick and still feels like it makes a barrier on my clear coat.
