Well my CRX has been an on-going project since earlier 2012 and for the past couple days have given here some extra attention. Last year did a garage paint job(I assisted) followed by wet-sanding, compounding & polishing done by myself with 3M Perfect-It products on a rotary. Initially was protected with Ammo Creme Reflective Paste, which was very nice. Later in the year switched to 2 coats of PBL Diamond Surface coating upon discovering Autogeek and was very very impressed with it.

The coating was still looking good & holding up just fine but I wanted to put my new found tools & knowledge to work that I have gained here from Autogeek:xyxthumbs:
I started with:
-Good 'ol fashion wash
-IronX & Nanoskin to clean and prep surface.
-Flex 3401 with 5" LC Orange Hybrid pads with Wolfgang Uber compound to remove old coating & defects
-CarPro Eraser wipedown
-Flex PE8 w/ 3.75" backing plate to run 5" LC Hybrid Gold Jeweling pads using Wolfgang Finishing Glaze
-GG6 w/GG 6" Red Wax pad using PBL Surface Cleansing Polish
-PBL Diamond Surface Coating w/24hr cure time
-2 coats of PBL Synergy Wax(2hrs apart)

No before pics or in progress pics, these are all after.

Well done! How did you do a garage paint job?

Amazing job on that sweet ride!!!

I love those CRX's. That's a beautiful example with a nice B16 transplant.

Not ideal but it was a great learning experience and hope to do a proper paint job in 1-2yrs.(door jams were painted as well!)

Nice job. Great color.

My aunt use to have a red CRX. I should have bought it from her instead of her trading it in. I have always thought these had a great look to them. Yours looks great.

I haven't used any Wolfgang products, but is the finishing glaze an actual glaze or just the name they went with?
Only asking because I wouldn't think it would be compatible with the coating.
Great results by the way.

I have a few people come up to me and describe similar scenarios:xyxthumbs:

Very nice and tasteful. Makes me miss my 89.

Thank you, yes the CRX is a car people regret getting rid of.

Name they went with, quote from description of product:
"Wolfgang Finishing Glaze 3.0 is designed to deliver maximum performance in an easy-to-use formula. The water-based polish is low-dusting, silicone-free, filler-free, and wax-free. Menzerna’s polishes are developed for auto production so every polish they make is suitable for a body shop environment."

I'm not sure if I was doing the proper jeweling technique. I started with firm pressure on pad w/low speed #1 on Flex PE8 to work in product then letting tool be the pressure on a few section passes.

Nice Rex! And i bet that B16B is fun too. Did you convert to hydro and keep that hydraulic LSD trans or is it still cable? I remember seeing a nice blacked out one at a grocery store here in Japan a few years ago, made me want one!
What's the color by the way? Looks almost like fiji blue or vivid blue...?

Thank you. Yeah its a blast 155whp and its was converted from hydro to cable so I still have the S4C w/LSD. Color is Honda B95P, Electron Blue Pearl.

It absolutely befuddles me why Honda wont build another CRX. Do just like they did with the original, a shortened version of the Civic platform minus the rear seats. Anyone who ever owned one loved it. Instead they made the Del Sol which stunk, and then now the CRZ which no one bought. Cmon Honda!

Great looking CRX!

Had one back in high school. Guy hit me and ripped the whole drivers side off. I just saw a guy ripping a white one on my way home. Dont see many anymore

Man I'd love to have one of those...

Nice job on her!!!!

Thx guys. I agree, Honda needs another CRX. There just plan fun cars to drive which explains why this is my 6th one going back to my first one in HS.

Ive seen this car on here before and it's stunning🇯🇵
