First off, Thank you Justin!
I read something that he said a few days ago, and while polishing my mom's car (2002 Toyota Camry), I remembered it and decided to try it.
He said that a lot of the times when polishing with a yellow cutting pad, he could go straight to a LSP.
Here's what I did. I would polish an area with XMT #3 and yellow pad for about 3-4 min. I now can do an entire panel (door, trunk, fender) and it goes a little faster. I break up the hood into 2-3 sections for polishing.
So I would polish an area for about 3-4 minutes on speed 6. Right before it would start dusting, I would lower the speed to about 4.5/5 and use no pressure. I just let the weight of the PC do the work and go over the entire section again using the regular polishing speed. And that's it! It worked very very well for me and I can see how it can really speed things up.
