My vehicles are like new inside and out so I'm working on the interior of my very fist customer who I detailed outside for after officially taking the plunge into this fun earlier this year.

Here is a sneak peak at the results thus far. Folex, McCulloch 1385 and a Bissel Extractor (nothing special yet) - I predict by the end of January I'll have an extractor. I may even buy it earlier while the holiday sales are on. I'd rather have a deal on an iBrid but that is yet to come from where ever puts puts up the best deal. Hopefully AG puts their Gift Card Promo back up!

Here are a couple mats from a customer minivan that has been abused by 4 kids. The owner has never had the interior detailed/steamed before. Barely ever gets vacuumed.

I guess it's a bit late, but that Mckee's APC@4:1 followed by that little scrub brush and mopped up with a solid terry towel would make quik work out of a matt like that [in case you find it takes a bit long with the steamer]
 
Nice turn around on the mats! They came out great, and I'm sure the customer was happy with them. How does the streamer do on the carpets vs the extractor? I been thinking about getting a steamer for the plastics, just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
 
Great turnaround on those matts. I need to do the same to mine.

This is my first real move into it. I want at least one or two per week. Just have to dial in my technique and products and time per vehicle. I've put together two interior packages/offerings thus far. Want to keep it simple. One includes Vacuum Floor mats, carpets, seats and trunk. Wipe down/cleaning of the dashboard, door surfaces, vents, cup holders, consoles and cleaning of all windows and mirrors. Basic stuff. The other adds in the steam and deep cleaning of everything.

I ordered the package deal of 2 gals and the RTU one that you and I PM'd about a couple weeks back. Had to wait for the deals this week. Should be here soon. Thus far I've used and like Folex. I have a couple gals of that and then Ultima Shampoo too. I'll put up my comparisons of the two in the coming weeks.

I get the idea of using towels and have way more than enough white cotton towels but what I've found is that the extractor does 10x better at truly pulling out the dirt. Matts I will likely do in my wash basin vs what I showed as I can flush out all the muck with plenty of water. I just wanted to begin my baseline of what I could do without that for now. The results are still impressive.

The steam is what made all the difference. Using the cleaners, a brush and extractor works but the steamer makes very short-order of the muck. It emulsifies nearly everything and when running the extractor right after steaming is the best mimic I can do to the $700-$1,200 heated extractor machines. Until I have one of those this is the way to go for me. The steam is perfect for doors, dashes, cupholders, etc. The great added bonus is no chemical cleaners are needed saving money and offering little health concerns. Have yet to find basic stuff it can't get up. Key is to keep the process moving in a timely fashion to maximize my ROI.

Thanks and thanks to all who have helped along the way. I had/still have tons of questions but little by little the process is coming together.

I use the exact same combo.
McCulloch 1385, Bissel Little Green, Shop Vac.
Been suggesting this in social media, and until you try it, most would not believe the great results.
Look into the Turbo Brush attachment for your Bissel machine.

I am not a fan of Folex, but the results you achieved speak for themselves.
I can tell you that if you achieved those results using Folex as your cleaner, then you will be ecstatic should you try Griots Garage Interior Cleaner or Meguiars D106 and/or D116.

How exactly are you using the steamer for carpets? Scrubbing vigorously with the bare triangle attachment? Or?
