in my 2012 Summit White Camaro 1 SS. :D Honestly, it doesn't smell good. I can't post pics of the smell, but I will of the car! Options include: black rally stripes(dealer installed), back up camera, connectivity pack, hurst oem short shifter. The car is very cool!!!!
 
I hate new car scents. Hmm wonder what your new username will be.
 
Thank goodness you got it in white.

Cant wait for pics!

Is it a chemical smell? Never had a new car with bad scent.
 
I would trade it in for another car if I were you. Lol

I think the worse new car smell is subarus. They smell like rottin crotch. ( save the "how would you know what that smells like" comments. Lol

Lol listen! I lost track but you've had like 3 totally sick rides in what? A month or so? To bad you don't like the smell!!! Suck it up and drive that beast!! Just razzin' ya. Congrats on....ANOTHER nice ride.

There was an article some years ago in C/D or R&T about how the mfrs. actually "tune" the new car smell to appeal to the customers. IIRC Audi was one mfr. that had really made it into a science. So, although your statement is true, I believe that today the mfrs. either select interior components based on what will outgas, and/or add chemicals to get the smell they want.
 
Congrats, I bought a 2012 1SS about a month ago, love this car. I've been following your new car quest, gotta say I'm impressed that you didn't settle, have to admire someone holding out to get exactly what they're looking for. Oh yeah and Stripper Scent FTW, the new car smell in the new Camaro's definitely leaves something to be desired.
