You meet the nicest people in this business...


So last night I leave work a little early to go take a picture of Bob's 1971 Chevelle SS wit a 454 BBC and on the wall in his Man Cave is this picture of him when he was younger as a Motorcycle Policeman for Miami, Florida.

Bob was a Police Officer for 30 years and 15 of those years he was in charge of the Motorcycle Division. He was also a part of the division for Presidential Escorts and all over the walls of his garage are pictures of him with leading politicians of our times...

Besides that he also participated in Police Motorcycle Competitions including both the U.S. and Canada and consistently took first place in his division, the slow ride competition and never took less than 7th place overall in all the years he competed.

Besides his life as a Motorcycle Policeman he's also a hard car "Car Guy"!

Bob has a number of cars including a black 1986 all original Monte Carlo under cover behind this pristine 1971 Chevelle SS with a 454 Big Block Chevy engine. If you look to the back of the garage you can see just a few of the trophies Bob won over the years in the Motorcycle competitions he participated in.

You'll have a chance to see Bob and his Chevelle on the second season of our TV show...

Thought I would share my new good friend Bob and two of his cars and his background as a public servant as a career Police Officer to the State of Florida.

Mike, YOU are a nice guy, and I really believe that as one goes through life the type of people one comes into contact with are those that reflect the type of vibes that one puts out. Nice people attract nice people, and vice versa. When I came onto this web site I was struck by the number of positive, genuinely good vibes the members here project, and I believe you have a lot to do with that.

Been comin back to this site for 5 years now. Even though I had to take a break from detailing from being in the service. :xyxthumbs:

I had three Monte Carlos. My first car was a 1986 Monte Carlo LS (not so mint, ha).

Then I got a black 86 Monte Carlo SS, which ended up being a train wreck of a car. It apparently had an engine swap, and never ran right afterwards.

BUT, then I got a 1987 Monte Carlo SS with T-tops that was absolutely MINT. It had about 60K miles, but was babied. Never saw a winter, an never parked outside the garage. Thing was beautiful, and sounded just as good as it looked. The only mod it had was flowmaster exhaust.

I eventually had to sell it because life got in the way of owning it. Wish I would have kept it!

When Bob removed the car cover so I could check it out I noticed a few swirls and scratches in the paint so it's highly likely you're going to see the Monte in the studio in the future...
(Plus I like these cars)

In hindsight, I wish I would have kept many of my cars, especially my first two cars, my Milk Truck, my first 1959 Cadillac and my Sanger Drag Boat....
