A coupon for $299 detailing for $85. They don't give you much for your money

It is important to routinely groom your car, otherwise it will grow an unsightly beard that will tickle your cheeks when you kiss it goodnight. Show off a well-manicured ride with today's Groupon: for $85, you get an interior auto detailing, an exterior hand washing, and a tire dressing at Ziebart ($299 value). This Groupon is valid at both Ziebart Rochester locations on Lyell Avenue and Henrietta Road.
Ziebart's vehicular face-lifts leave interiors devoid of offending dust and polish exteriors until they gleam. To keep dirt particles from mobbing and angrily setting glove compartments on fire, the interior detailing vacuums, spot cleans, and disinfects the upholstery and carpet, employing antibacterial detergent and strategically placed dust traps. A fabric-protection treatment penetrates individual fibers, ensuring dirt and spills remain on the surface. The dashboard, air vents, instrument panel, doorjambs, and glass all receive a thorough cleaning, leaving a germ-free, brightly smiling interior.
Ziebart's car custodians then treat autos to a luxurious Rain-X hand wash that removes traces of tar, road salt, and highway pepper. After thoroughly cleaning tires and rims, technicians fit a coat of water protectant on windshields that leaves vehicles looking as clean and new as they did the day a stork built them.

Doug,

That's not much at all for $85.00 and the regular price is $299.00?

I wonder what their premium package with all the bells and whistles go for???

There have been a lot of crappy detail "deals" popping up on Groupon lately....

Is it $85 for the detail and $214 for the hilarious prose?

"Strategically placed dust traps" ROTFLMAO!
I've also never heard Rain-X and "luxurious" used in the same sentence.

Lots of desperate places trying odd stuff to get people in the door. Ziebart does details?? That's just an odd combination. Like a dentist painting houses.

But they used so many words for the ad, surely that makes it worth the $200

The Ziebart in my area advertises like crazy - "Ziebart's Diamond Gloss Paint Protection system is tougher than any other system in the country. Never dulls and never needs waxing, leaves your car shining like a new penny." I kid you not, that's the ad on the radio.

Same with the Zeibarts in my area....not only do they do the Diamond Gloss, they have complete "detailing" services, window tinting, PPF installs, undercoating/rustproofing, (yadda yadda)...with everything they do being "warranteed"...Hard to pass up these deals :D. But I think I will.

I think i just threw up a little...

A company that I pair up with often used groupon for our most common package. We sold out (50) and dont make much money for those jobs.

But, the idea wasn't to make a ton of money but to further spread the company's name.

Yikes Dave! Stay away from those guys. Haven't seem them yet here in Pcola.

Nobody in their right mind would do a $299 detail service for $85.

They only did this so that Groupon would feel they have a great deal to offer. Groupon has no idea it's a rip off, the business probably doesn't want to sell too many and they more than likely don't wanna bust ass for $85.

Certainly not something I would run as a "special". It's just straight up lying to your potential future customer...and it may in fact have a reverse affect and lose you a possible client.

I would love to be there when these start creating headaches for this business. I can hear the customers now..."you say THIS is worth $299!? Did you extract my carpets? Get under the seats? Did you clay? Why is there still wax on my car?" lol

It's funny looking at it from a business end. This is a HUGE mistake on their part. They basically are telling you that you're paying $85 for an $85 service, ha.

I actually ran a special similar to this through Couptopia cause my buddy works for them. I ran 50% a "Silver Package". But we actually do the Silver Package! It brought me repeat, full paying business multiple times, and some great new customers. It also put over 15 positive reviews published on the internet from more than satisfied customers. Those reviews brought me even more business. Goes to show...if you be honest, it pays off!

Well they're here in Ohio. Personally I think they suck for detailers! My price for what I call a "Mini Detail" is $150 + tax. This includes, vacume, shampoo mats & carpet. Steam clean surfaces, plastic,
panels, cup holdes, seats if needed, cloth & leather, windows, headliner, wash, clay,& Hand wax, with Liquid Souveran. They wanted me to go half price. I'm not going there. Detailing is hard work. I do have a LOVE for it and the passion. But I am not stupid,Watch Group Screw!
