Your Definition of a Basic Exterior Detail

I mean no offense.
I see that you're in Potomac.
The first time in life (as a child) that I saw REAL Beverly Hillbillies style neighborhoods of grand mansions, and rolling estates was in your zip code.

Just sayin' Im the MAN

No offense taken. People here do have a ton of money and are willing to pay for quality. I also sell myself because I love detailing cars and they can hear my passion when I talk about it. I pick my clients wisely. People that understand quality. People that are willing to pay extra for somebody that knows what they are doing. They pay me because they trust me. I do more than is expected every time. My goal is quality, not quantity. Im sure you guys charging less than me do more volume and might make more money, but I never got into this business for the money. I simply want to be the best at my craft and I try my hardest. People recognize that.

My advice to all is "pick your worth, be your best"

Dont EVER sell yourself short just because its easier for them to say yes to your service.

So many of you have brilliant advice on here day in and day out. People will pay for that.

I think I need to relocate to beverly hills , so I can charge the big queso

(Kidding)

I do not do volume I only do one car at a time and you didn't answer what do you do for a basic exterior detail?

3 bucket method (wheels, wash, rinse)
Wheels cleaned with Ammo Plum (using wheel woollies, Daytona speed master and JR)
Tires cleaned
Foam gun (let drip off then re foam)
Natural sea sponge or carpro wool mitt for wash media
Door jambs cleaned in conjunction with steam in hard to reach places.
Dry car
Clay bar with sonus ultra fine
Tires dressed with Ammo MUD
Klasse AIO (1 coat)
Collinite 845 (1 coat)

If there are little extras to do on plastic pieces or rubber, I do it for free. A little extras always noticed.

This is more of a Full Exterior Detail though as I don't offer "basic". V

Thank you for the reply :)

I charge $60 for cars and $80 for trucks more for huge vans

2 bucket Hand wash
Klasse AIO
Clean Windows
Dress tires

I only clay if the vehicle absolutely needs it and I charge an extra $10-$20 or more depending on size and condition. I use AIO just because it fills "some" of the swirls, shine and protection lasts a little bit longer and it's relatively cheap.
