Your favorite shampoo? & why?

I've pretty much gone to rinseless washing, but when I do a conventional 2 bucket wash, its no contest for me...DuraGloss.

I have two favorites, one is Auto Glym, the other is DP Rinseless. I picked some of the DP on the BOGO and am very glad I did. I really like it.

Duragloss is going to be on my next order. Besides the positive reviews I have read on here, I have heard nothing but good stuff about it everywhere else. I can't wait to try it.

Nice to see another Autoglym Shampoo here on Autogeek...
The Autoglym shampoo is a good soap.
It has no suds or particular scent, but that does not affect the product from being a good soap.

I cycle between a few Meguiar's soap, Gold class, NXT, Ultimate Wash & Wax, Shampoo Plus, as well as Sonax, Mother's, Autoglym, and ONR...
All make the car clean and provide enough lubrication as you wash.

Washing and Quick Detailing are my favourite activities...

Dodo Born to be Mild is my absolute favorite. It has great cleaning ability, nice lubricity and just the right amount of suds for me that last thru the whole wash while being gentle to nubas like Souveran.... Unfortunately AG doesn't carry it. The DP is also one of my favorites and a great value when on BOGO. As some fellow forum members have suggested to me a while back....try adding an oz of rinseless to any shampoo and it really turbo charges any car shampoo!

My favorite is Optimum: nice scent, very long lasting suds (use 0.5 oz per gallon), rinses fine. It does not seem to leave much behind (like added gloss) so I consider that a plus.

I've only used a few soaps because I mostly No-Rinse, but Meguiar's Gold Class is my favorite of those that I have used.

Just got back from meeting B&B Tennessee (Anthony) for coffee. Always great to meet another addict. Anthony showed me his rinseless wash procedure which I've never done, and WOW! I'm going to have to try this out. I do love the conventional 2 bucket method, since it for me it's relaxing when doing my own ride, that I don't mind spending the time on.

It was nice to meet you man..... Glad you liked the product - don't forget we need to trade some stuff!!! After meeting with you I went and cleaned the back of the truck out and worked a quick panel on the truck (I'll do the rest next week lol - not feeling it today). I hit you up soon man!

I have kept coming back to Meg's Gold Class, but I have been using DP Xtreme foam in my foam gun and buckets. I think the DP is really strong-perhaps too strong. I like Gold Class because it seems gentle, yet cleans well while being slick. I was very disappointed when I tried Meg's Ultimate Wash and Wax. Meg's UW&W didn't seem to clean well and streaked really bad especially on glass.

I'm intrigued by the Duragloss wash, how does it compare to Gold Class?

love this stuff! suds well, great lube qualities, and smells like a cherry jollyranger!:xyxthumbs:

128 oz. Duragloss Car Wash Concentrate (CWC) #902

Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo is my favorite, but I never buy it unless it is on BOGO, so I don't use it very often. DP Auto Bath, Optimum Car Wash, and Meguiar's Shampoo Plus are also some of my favorites. Working on trying out some new stuff right now: Dodo Juice Wax Safe Shampoo (sent a sample to Corey for a review - curious to see what he'll have to say), Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss, and Ultima Paint Guard Wash.

Ultima for me.

Ultima is kinda interesting. It says "free rinising" and "leaves no film" but it seems to remove the beading aspect of your wax and replace it with a sheeting effect, sort of like Dodo Time to Dry. Spray down the panel again and it's back to beading as if nothing was ever different. Nothing wrong with it at all, just odd and something I don't see from products like Optimum or Poorboy's. Awesome dilution ratio too. 1oz is all I use in my 4.5gal buckets.

I've used a couple soaps :D but for maintenance:

1) Duragloss Car Wash Concentrate
2) Majestic Solutions Ultra Gloss
3) Tie between DP and Zaino Z7
4) Pinnacle (even better with 2 caps of ONR)
5) Dodo Basics of Bling or Supernatural

Prep Work/LSP stripper:

Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

Someone mentioned AutoGlym? I have a nearly full bottle that will never be used again, willing to trade or sample out.

Ultima and DG 901 are my favorites because I like them :)

I just bought the dg 902 from a local car quest. And man I love this shampoo! it makes my pewter camaro wet and i mean WET!!

You should follow with Duragloss Aqua Wax if you like how DG CWC looks by itself. Wash, rinse, Aqua Wax, dry.

Like anything with car detailing, it's personal preference. If you like Megs Gold Class, you will probably like DG 901. The Duragloss will leave a finish on the paint which reminds me of a golden wax glow. It is kind of additive to your normal wax. It has nice lubricity and good cleaning ability.

I tend to like Optimum, One Grand and Ultima slightly better, just because I like the wax/sealant finish of the wax/sealant that I use. They don't leave the extra finish that looks like a freshly waxed car. To each his own.

I highly recommend that you try the Duragloss car wash. The small container is inexpensive and does a great job. Yes, I keep it around.

Good to hear that you tried a rinseless wash. I actually like the UWW+ as a waterless wash too.

I use CG Citus Wash and Gloss for stripping wax and sealants before claying and polishing. I would not use it for general washing as it is a very strong cleaner.

Cheers!

I have a ton of different shampoos(excluding waterless and rinseless washes) that I have acquired in search for the perfect shampoo. I've used:

Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo & Conditioner
Chemical Guys Glossworkz
Chemical Guys Maxi Suds
Dodo Juice Born to be mild
Dodo Juice Sour Power
DP Auto Bath
Duragloss Car Wash Concentrate
Meguiars Deep Crystal
Meguiars Gold Class
Meguiars NXT Shampoo
Meguiars Shampoo Plus
Meguiars Ultimate Wash & Wax
Optimum Car Wash
PoorBoys Super Slick & Suds
RaceGlaze Aqua Bathe

and my two favorites are AG BSC and DJ BTBM. They are both not only highly concentrated but have great cleaning ability, good lubricity and rinse extremely well.

The only other shampoo I want to try next is Lusso Auto Bathe as I hear it is some really good stuff, but so far I am content with what I have.

My favorite is Dodo wax safe wash. It's a very pure shampoo that will not change the look of the LSP(I prefer that). It's obviously wax friendly, good lubricity, good cleaning ability, and smells good! I also like Dodo juice born to be mild.
