Sorry Paul, I can't stand the whole gloss black wheel trend but at least yours have a contrasting lip. I know your an AG'er and take care of your car but 9 out 10 gloss black wheels are dirty and swirled, not to mention the color takes away from the wheel style as well. IMO Torque Thrusts look best in anthracite or the original grayish color, just my .02 cents. Btw polished American Racing Torque Thrusts look great too but only on muscle cars with a wider lip, sorry to be so paricular but it's only because I'm a self admitted wheel wh....urrrr, wheel lady of the night👈

No worries.. My buddy wanted me to get flat black, I was interested in chrome. I felt with the high-gloss red of the car, I would keep the gloss theme going and the red/black theme going. Just seemed to make sense, but I definitely like the stainless lip which does contrast.

I have DLUX on the wheels, layered over some Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Coating, so yes, they're maintained, and they weren't that expensive so if I scratch one... it's just a phone call and new ones show up. My other choice would be to go staggered deep dish rear with tire package, but that's a lot of doe-ray-me. Would look good tho. :) Maybe next year! :-)

I get a lot of compliments on the car when I take it out (operative word is "when...." lol) she's a garage queen.

Does McKee's make a coating for those? :)
I'd say so. Saw this product
just the other day:

I browsed here and there but the last day or two have been really looking, going to some sites to see what they offer. After seeing your post Brutal, I went to BBS's website, only to get kicked. They only have one wheel according to my search that fits my car. Can BBS be custom ordered?

I'm not sure if they do, but I would imagine it would be quite expensive if they take customization. I know Rays of Japan does, and boy are they up there in prices...

And I agree with tires.

I used to run cheapies, but as soon as I could afford quality sets, I did not hesitate to spend. Ride quality & safety being the priorities. Of course they usually wear better overall as well. Budget stuff tend to tramline, and performance seems to take a nosedive after the first year or so. At least that's been my experiences with budget rubbers.

Nothing looks better on a black car then chrome

Tired of seeing everyone and their mom with black wheels

Here is a pic from June I don't have any current ones.

The sun was not on my side here but it is the best shot to show the wheels.

Thats a similar color to my wife's car. Polished/chrome/machined will look good, but I'd go with a nice rich glossy bronze. Either split spoke or refinish the stock wheels.

Yea when I had to buy tires over the years, I always went middle of the road. Then on our last car, popped for some premium Michelins, plus the salesman at Discount Tire was a pretty good salesman. The ride was night and day. I said then I am only buying good tires from now on. Speaking of tires. Sharpreflection, yours are looking a little thin on the rear compared to the front! Nice car man.

The stock wheel will be used in winter if changed for aftermarket. I've been leaning towards chrome since the beginning. Thanks guys.

Well I think I found a contender. What do you think?

They have them in my size 18X8. I don't want to change that. I just got to check the offset. I just want to make sure they are a true fit. Not sticking out or in. I found them on CARiD, according to there size matching, says they should fit. But me being me I have to look into it further.

For my car(s) I prefer a polished aluminum five spoke wheel with very wide rims.

True Forged makes them. They RE Available in one, two, and three piece. As well as polished, powder coated (custom colors) and chrome.

I like contrasting colors for my cars. Light colored car dark wheels, dark car light colors. Not a fan of chrome. Too many better options in my opinion.

They were a thin when the picture was taken but most people thought the tires were when they were new

On some vehicles, I prefer body color wheels...lol. (See avatar pic.) In my opinion, I think the Olds SSIII rally wheel is one of the best OEM wheels ever designed.

Yeah, I know, I am biased! The OEM wheels on my 09 Acura TSX could not be any more boring, but they are easy to clean!

To me, it really varies on the vehicle. For example, I took one wheel that I really liked. On one vehicle, it looked great and really set it off. On another vehicle, it just kinda washed out. Besides, there are as many wheels out there as there are those with opinion about them!

The only car I ever had aftermarket wheels on was my 93 Mustang LX I sold a couple years ago. Cobra R's for the street, and 10.5 and pizza cutters for the strip.
