you're all invited to my house for dinner!

Do your parrots talk? I love birds. They're noisy and messy, but so pretty. :p

Maybe you can import Veggiemite from Australia. :p J/K, they do have aboriginal art, that would be something like the native american crafts that we have here. I have a friend in Queensland that sent me a beautiful hand painted boomerang that was all decorated with aboriginal symbols. Very nice.

My brother-in-law was stationed in Okinawa for several years. He brought my husband a beautiful set of swords from there. I'd love to have a samurai sword. Those things are just so cool and plus I could threaten my kids with it when they misbehave. :p

All of my birds talk. The African Grey talks really good. The smallest bird (top left picture) really loves ice cream. His favorite thing to say is 'I want Ice Cream' and he will look at and want to go to the refrigerator. He loves to sing and dance. He's very funny. The green and red birds are the male and female eclectus. The male eclectus is a really sweet bird. My wife and I raised all the birds from babies. They can get noisy and sometimes they have to go to time out.

The samurai swords are my favorites but I would not threaten your kids with them. Actually I know your just kidding (aren't you)?

What beautiful birds! That's so funny that the one love ice cream. :) Do you give them cayenne peppers? I heard that parrots love cayenne peppers and that they're supposed to be good for them.

Of course I wouldn't threaten my kids with a samurai sword. No actually my kids get threatened with the machete, the samurai sword would be to threaten my husband. ;)

The 3 big birds love hot peppers and hot food. The small bird that loves ice cream does not. My wife is Korean and she loves hot food and always gives some to the birds.

My wife catches blue crabs off our dock and she takes a machete and chops them in half after she pulls them out of the trap. She then washes them out with the hose and sticks them in the freezer until she has a lot of them.

I guess a samurai is one way to keep your husband in line.

lol Yeah if it only worked. He's definitely the boss in the house. Did you meet your wife here in the States or in Korea? Has she taught you to say anything in Korean? I'm a huge fan of spicy food too. My husband doesn't like things too hot though so I always have to have my jar of hot sauce on the side. Especially when I make chicken curry. Curry and hot sauce go so good together. YUM! :p

I'll ask her to come up with her recipe. She the kind of cook the never has a real recipe written down and she never really measures stuff. We can go out for dinner somewhere and she knows exactly what they put into it. She will come home and make it. I don't know how she does it. I can't cook anything. I can burn a pan up just boiling water.

I cook that way too. I never measure anything. I just put some of this and some of that. I haven't got the ability to taste what the ingredients are in the food at restaurants though. That's quite a talent your wife has. I would love a recipe if it's not too much trouble. That really does sound delicious and I love seafood. :) Thank you to your wife.:)

FloridaNative: Here is my wife's Receipe per your request:

Thai Seafood Curry receipe

1 pounds uncooked shrimps peeled
1 pounds imitation crab meat or real crab meat

½ can bamboo shoots rinsed and drained
½ can mini corns rinsed and drained
½ can straw mushrooms rinsed and drained

1 can red Thai curry paste minus 1 tablespoon (it might be too hot if you put whole can)
2 cans coconut milk
Red pepper flakes (amount depends on how hot you want it to taste)

Cook bamboo shoots, corns, and mushrooms in ½ cup of water until boil. Add coconut milk, curry paste, red pepper flakes so broth looks orange color. Let it cook at medium low heat and stir until boil. Add seafood cook until boil and shrimps turn pink. (do not over cook shrimps it gets tough)

Served over cooked Jasmin rice or sticky rice.

You can add other seafood like squid or fish frozen or fresh peas if you like it.

Sounds heavenly. Thank you so much for getting that and so quickly too! :) I cannot wait to try it. Lots of thanks to your wife. Now I have to find an asian market to find the bamboo shoots and thai curry. :)

Looks like a relaly good recipe, I don't mind spicy food but not to hot makes me sweat too much and not to mention that I wont be able to taste anything after words hehehehe.

Gary, you got cool birds. They look very nice. Sounds to me like your a business man Gary. I ran into a few friends of mine today and they are residential developers and looks like my work load at home may have gotten smaller, I asked on of friends if he could come over and help me out with the bathroom and he said he would come over....I told him I would hold him to it hahahaha. He's Italian and man can he build, he is very precise and uses only the best products. My wife is going to love her new bathroom.

I so wish I could live close to you guys, the food, the cars, the weather...question though. Do you guys get any earthquakes, tournados, storms..exct...exct. I asked the wife if she would move to the States and she said no because of all of those things. Crime is no excuse becase it's every where you go.

Like FloridaNative says in Florida about the only thing you really have to worry about is hurricanes. We were lucky last summer and never had any. Hopefully it will continue that way. The southwest part of the state where I live hardly ever gets hurricanes but 2 summers ago we had 3 hurricanes. My wife and I were lucky and we never had much damage but some of our neighbors did. It was the first time in over 40 years that the part of the state where I live got hit with a hurricane. Most of the time the weather is really beautiful here.
