Zaino borderless blond

So did you find out exactly what they are? I'm very curious as to what YOU think they are because Sal Zaino himself told me what they were and how they are made.

So Sal told you they are cotton? I remember following this towel very closely when it came out, and I remember the story being that it was conventional microfiber, just made, cut, and inspected to Sal's demanding criteria.

IIRC I went down and dug mine out when this thread started, and the package labeling didn't indicate the fiber type or content, and also IIRC the towel was on the website then (isn't now) and didn't indicate fiber type or content.

If this towel were actually cotton that would make it a pretty unique towel, wouldn't they want to tout that on the packaging and website?

Maybe you and I would do that but Sal didn't. And since there is no one on this planet would know better than him, I can only take the scoop that I got straight from the source. Not second hand or forum read info, straight out of the man's mouth to my ears.

Well, ok then, I'll take your word for it that they are cotton. Maybe Leo is making them for him, which is why he never has any.

They are an outstanding towel, no matter what they are made of. I can guarantee that they won't scratch your paint no matter how soft it is.

They are soft and won't scratch but these and the rag companies edgless leave tiny lint. These longer fiber towels aren't as good for wax removal. They're good after wax is removed

Edgless silver surfer has a low nap and never left tiny lint behind. So now I just use high fiber edgless for polish

Lent can be washed away in an instant. I have used these towels to remove wax AND sealant with no issues whatsoever and I have touched a ton of paint with them.

I've tried wiping it down with a QD and couldn't get it off. It's like it sticks to the paint. Anyway that's all history. I traded the black in for silver and the silver surfer works.

Now I just use the edgless for rinseless wash

Black in for silver meaning I traded the car for silver

I read most (not all) of the posts. Like others, I've also dealt with linty mf towels for years, and, like Bob Dylan said in one of his songs, enuf is enuf.

So, irregardless of price, I would like to try lintless microfiber towels, preferably 16X16 or 16X24. Light colors preferred.

So which make/models are the consensus: CarPro, Silver Surfer, Cobra, Others?

What about blend: 85-15%, 80-20%, 75-25%, 70-30%. Does that make a difference in linting?

Someone mentioned its the nap length. I agree according to my experiences. Some people don't get lint. I did on a black car and on the glass. So again somebody suggested silver surfer and that's what worked for me. I got yelled at for mentioning the companies name. I'm sure you can find them

To me, glass is the real test for linting

I have towels that are fine on paint, but lint on windows and especially, mirrors

Got my answer this morning from a detailer in CT. He told me he has tried just about every favorite mf on the market, from local retail stores, distributors, online stores, from USA-Asia-Europe...Will buy a few of his recommended ones and a few of my own selections that I've read about from these boards.
