SONAX Perfect finish OR Menzerna PF2500

The only thing I've noticed with Sonax PF, is that if you use a light cutting pad and a Flex, the product will turn nearly clear after 1-2 slow passes w/med-heavy pressure. With a Rupes and a polishing pad, this never seems to happen.

Does this mean that Sonax Perfect Finish is not suitable for use with a Rupes 15 or cannot be used to it's full potential with a Rupes?

It means that it may fill(cover up) defects. In turn, you're not getting a "true" finish. I'd say with a DA, you're not getting the full potential out of the polish. However, the fillers are very durable, so they won't wash off easily. It may "look" like a true finish, but it may not be.

Interesting! Is there a comparable product to use with a DA?

There's a lot. A few goods one are CarPro Reflect, Wolfgang Finishing Glaze and BLACKFIRE SRC finishing polish. They may not have quite the cut, but they finish very well.

Try HD Adapt, excellent product!

Adapt works, but clogs up pads...terribly.

If you have Rupes, try Blackfire SRC finishing polish with a Meg Cutting Disc. This finishes down near perfect on the ceramiclear paints and has a significant amount of cut.

Ummm....I'm not sure where you're getting your information from but Sonax Perfect Finish on Rupes yellow pad might just be the best one-step combination out there right now. Any of the Rupes polishers will work great. The 15 is a great machine.

This is not a statement, but rather a question. My interpretation of comments in this thread is that a rotary is required to break the product down, and using any DA will result in the product hiding defects and no to little correction. I was considering purchasing this product, but now I’m not so sure.

Categorically false. Sonax Perfect Finish works outstanding with Rupes.

Sure, you'll get some correction, but it WILL fill with a Rupes or any random orbital. I'm done from here. You believe what you want to and I'll do the same. :)

I really hate to beat a dead horse or poke a sensitive subject or what have you, but i wanna order today, and am still unsure on the best combo with my PC7424.

I think I will give the ADAPT a try, all products are worth a shot!
