Not slamming you here but it never fails that when something like this comes up the comparison between the Corvette and 911 come into play, now its the Camaro, really? There's 2 different people whom buy the Corvette and the 911, a "Camaro buyer" isn't even in the picture between those 2 and now there's a $75K version that is faster than a regular, run of the mill 911. Like someone said earlier, its a special "track car" offered up by Chevrolet, suspension and brakes, not to mention tires too but guess what, how many will you actually see out and about, I say not too many. Those Z/28's are destine to be "Barrett-Jackson" specials, put in mothballs and brought out for sale in 20 years.
The person whom buys the 911 isn't looking for a "bargain" car, so its yet another reason to not compare the 911 and Camaro, the Corvette/911 is a stretch as it is, but a Camaro:nomore:
In closing here's what I don't get, the car is tuned at the Ring and the majority of them will never see a track day, mountain road, etc. All that work, time, effort and money into making it run the Ring at such a quick time and the ones that actually make it to the street will be going from stop light to stop light in most cases. I wish GM would invest in the future and come out with a perf hatchback type car or something smaller and affordable, oh well.
