Will spend the money this week, please help I want to buy the one that works best. Thank you so much.

For $300 + Get the Flex 3401 VRG with different backing plates. IMO best DA out there as it is a forced rotation DA. ALL others are not.

For little money $125+ I think the PC7424 XP is a good choice. They have many different size backing plates and it is very versatile.

Others might suggest a Rupes but it cost more than the Flex and they have pad ripping issues if you do not buy their pads. Now that I have caused a stink and I know I am going to be thrashed because there is a BIG Flex vs Rupes battle....at least you know where I stand.

As for the PC7424 XP many say the GG 6" is the way to go. I have had excellent experience with the PC. I have the GG 3" but the PC with the correct baccking plate will do a better job than the GG 3"

The bottom line though....GET WHAT YOU THINK IS BEST FOR YOU!!! Either DA you pick whether it be a Flex, Rupes, PC, or GG you will know soon whether you made the right choice when you start using it.

This forum will help you as well as make you more confused!!....LOL

:buffing:

I really like the rupes system and they do make it bubba proof. If you have the cash then you will be really happy. If you need to budget than the porter cable would be my vote. Very versatile

I'm sorry !!!!!! I am talking about the swirl finding light. However I have the flex DA and love it. I just need to know the truth about these lights. Thank you.

Does anyone own one of these lights that could comment

I use a simple Mag Light! That works just as good IMO you can find all the scratches and its about $15 or less

I have a surefire led with 230 lumens but it seems to bright. I may not be using it right but it's hard to see the swirls. I just hate to spend 70 bucks that is not better than what I have now

The Mag Light that I use has 2 AA batteries and works fine. You can adjust the light from wide angle to sharp angle and see the swirls. My garage has Flood lights and that catches every little flaw. Way better than any swirl light. You can get them at Walmart for about $35. I got the duel Flood lights that come with their own stand. It lights up your garage to where you can work at night (I did last night).

Is it a mini mag

I bought the Rupes light. It works good. Had one of the old Brinkmans...that didn't work too great. Also have a little 9 LED bulb aluminum light that I got for 1.00 that works surprisingly well. lol

I have both the Flex light and the Brinkmann. I like and use the Brinkmann during my paint cutting and buffing work and have the Flex in my car for looking at potential clients cars anytime after dusk.

When i first got the Flex light i was looking for something a little smaller than the Brinkmann. I found after comparing both i just like the Brinkmann a little better. Don't know if that helps you and is just my preference. Both are good for looking at the condition of paint.

I'm leaning to the roups. Hope I can find that review

That DIY light is very good. Art built one after I showed it to him. Wife likes it also, it lights up the whole back yard.

If you want a Brinkman....hurry up...they have been discontinued!
