This car was booked for a full exterior detail ans we wanted to leave the exterior up to the same level of the engine of this car...looking great and running great.

1. Paintwork evaluation.
Unfortunately, some areas have been resprayed and buffed before. By measuring the painwork we noticed that it has been severly polished before...some areas had no clearcoat anymore...too bad. We explained that to the owner and enhanced the exterior as much as we could.

Random isolated scratches

2. Paintwork correction
Because the car had been resprayed before, we could not use the same set-up for the whole car and this was a challenge.
In general, it was a 2 step process, cutting on a rotary using Megs yellow pad and Menz FG400 in some areas and others with PF2500 and then polishing/ finishing with Menz PF2500 or Sonax PF on RUPES.

We decided to remove the mirrors and polish areas that were neglected on the past...final result was uch better.

3. Front grill
We also removed the front grill to clean it thoroughly and replace the S2 badge for a bran new.

Also, the grill received a coat of CeramicPRO plastic, to rejuvenate (gave it that awesome satin black look) and also protect it.

Special thanks to the owner for letting me and Eduardo to work on it.

Talk about a sleeper, the Porsche wheels look pretty good on that car, you did amazing job fixing that black paint...cool car

Your knowledge, experience, and expertise makes me feel like a total hack.
This is so far beyond anything I could accomplish it boggles my mind. Wonderful wonderful work and a full restoration at that!

Thanks for your kind words and feedback RTexasF.
Myself and my detailing buddy (Eduardo) had a good time working on that car...very tricky paint, lots of respray and clearcoat failures.

Really glad you liked it man.

Tks

Excellent work :xyxthumbs:

Looks like the lights below the headlights in the front bar could also do with a polish. Or did you do that?

No better car than an Audi wagon with monster HP. That car is beautiful, you did an amazing job!

Thanks Davey.
True...we did not touch the head and fog light...they are made of glass we decided to leave as it was. Hard to find a good glass polisher here in Brazil.

every time i'd see an S2 show up at Waterfest back in the day, i'd trip over myself. so neat. same with older b5 type S3s.

nice work, OP!
