what's your weather currently like?

At least your engine temp was cool.

That was right after I got into my car and started it. Car was hot from sitting in the sun. I think it was 90F or so outside.

Am I reading that right, that your cluster is showing you range to empty right on the gas gauge? That's pretty cool.

There's a range gauge with miles to empty (based on your recent driving) and then also an analog gas level gauge (not shown). It confuses some people because the levels don't necessarily always agree.

Still in excessive heat. Was oppressive the 4th holiday. Nasty this week also. Miserable at work and doing overtime. Go figure.

The media would have you believe that anyone who goes outside this week is going to die of hypothermia................................umm, it's called winter for a reason. Pardon the pun, but what a bunch of snowflakes.

Millions set to shiver as Antarctic polar blast hits large parts of the country: See the forecast for your city | 7NEWS

Today barely cracked 11 degrees (52 f), most of the day was below 10 degrees (50 f) with an icy wind. It's now raining.

Yeah we hit 14/57f today, but with wind chill it stayed around 10/50f. When I walked the dogs tonight I put an extra jumper on under my jacket, with wind chill tonight it's about 6/42f, but I was too warm when I got back. I did see the ISS fly over because we have very clear skies with this wind blowing.

Hot and very humid, like much of the country. Severe thunderstorms probably moving across the area, again, this afternoon/evening with another chance of tornadoes. Last night was a bit eerie hearing hearing the City's civil defense sirens blaring due to tornado warnings being issued. The sirens go off 10 AM the first Tuesday of every month for testing but other than that we don't get much call for tornado threats here on the lakefront. Having my coffee I could see them clearing trees from Lake Shore Drive! Damn.

I just got back from walking the dogs, we got 12/53f here, with a wind chill down to 4/39f, and the wind is gusting up to 32mph, loving it.

2nd night in a row with the CD sirens going off for tornado warnings.
We don't have those over here, CD sirens I mean, but I used to live about a mile from a Shell refinery, and they would hold emergency drills with what sounded like air raid sirens, growing up I thought they sounded cool. Occasionally they would have flames shooting a hundred feet into the sky from big stacks, like at the start of Blade Runner, I thought that was cool as well.

If the flares are ripping like that, could be from loss of power or cooling or some other major upset.

90+ Monday and today. Supposed to break a little tomorrow. SOS. Hot and oppressive at work.

I've lived at this address for over 10 years now and it's usually just 10 AM, first Tuesday of the month, when they test them. Never heard them in anger before this week; I live smack dab in the middle of all the tall buildings that make up the lakefront Cityscape people see on TV so it's hard to wrap your head around a tornado threat down here . . . but I accept that it's real and move away from the windows into an interior room.

Before my time here but back in 1959 when the White Sox (baseball team) won the American League pennant then-Mayor Richard J. Daley had the sirens turned on to celebrate . . . and FREAKED PEOPLE OUT! This was a different time, of course, with the Red Scare just finally abating but still definitely on people's minds so there were accounts of people emptying their buildings, falling to their knees in prayer, etc.

47, cloudy, rainy, this is what we have had for a couple of weeks now

Sometimes a lull in the rain and partly cloudy in the afternoon but not predictable

What a nasty, evil day it was to be working outside today.

While the temperature managed to top 10 degrees C (50 f) very briefly, the gusty wind was so very icy, made worse by sleety rain.

Working outdoors means you end up living by the weather forecast so that you know what to wear and what to plan around. So which do I prefer? Bitterly cold days or scorching hot summers? I'd take the cold any day, you can at least dress for it, in summer you can only strip down so far before it becomes inappropriate for the customers and co-workers.

I'll take the cold as well, we were mostly sunny, with a bit of overcast, and also the icy winds as well. Just got back with the dogs, wind chill has it down to 6/42f, I'm pretty sure they saw, and scented, a rabbit, it was crazy for a little bit.
