I bought some chemical guy towels that look identical to these:iagree:
And it's funny, there's another company that sells something like that and my friend thought he got one up one me, they may be gold, but they aren't the same! They are rough, rough, rough!!!
These "best" threads are annoying.
There is no best, there is only whats best to you. Buy a sample of every towel you like and figure out what you want. Then stock up.
I'd agree with this that it depends on the project you are doing to determine what is going to work, however I do believe there is a range of what would be consider the best or the worst for that matter. In terms of best being that the quality of performance of the given product does what is advertised and the relative price makes sense for performance of the product.
What would your characteristics of "The best" Microfiber towel be , or any product for that matter...
EX: durability of the towel,
The blend of fibers
Weave & Manufacture quality i.e. not shedding, unraveling etc.

Thoughts or experience of these items? I am new into the detail world, so its hard for me to rate a product and know and know its value.
1)Do you believe the gold plush are worth the price or twice as good as the CG ones? (considering they are twice the price?) If so I will probably exchange these.
-Chemical Guys towels are tight weave on one side and plush on the other.
2)Does this mean anything in terms of quality or application to use the towels?
All the microfiber I bought in the past are tight weave on both sides.
3) Is there an advantage or disadvantage of having plush on a side of the towel?
I would agreed for the above statement, for business use, nothing is comparable to brand new microfiber (costco, eurow similar) with 300-350 gsm whether is price or performance wise. It can be use for anything from exterior to interior and just dump them after wash to the wheels and engine towel category.
For wax/sealant or final touch up may consider using Gold plush or supreme 530. Most of the time customer will be there. It's nice to have some special and presentable towels on hand![]()
amen to the rag company
I've got rag company microfibers, but they're linting like crazy. Really annoying when I'm trying to wipe stuff down and it leaves a trail of lint. They also seem to be getting rougher with every wash :/
I might need to try out a dedicated MF detergent.
I still wouldn't use Costco towels. My local supplier gets me edgeless 16x16 towels for $20 a dozen. They are on par with the CarPro edgeless towels. I reuse them and keep paint towels separate from everything else plus they get a thorough inspection after every wash. I usually demote 10-15 towels a week. Needless to say I will never run out of interior towels lol
I have a black Z; had it for ten years. The paint is a pain to dry. IDK what it is, but something about this car. Best to spritz a spray detailer, then dry. Don't buff it in. Let it dry. When your done, grab a new dry towel and wipe the entire car down to take out any streaks. If you wear a glove during this last step, it provides more grip and makes the job quicker and easier IMO.
Don't want to mention names as that's a no-no here, but I'm looking for a cheaper equivalent to these "single soft" towels I have. Love em, but I don't love the price. $17 for 2 with no cheaper bulk option makes me a sad panda.

Micro fiber towels are not supposed to lint. That is one of the major advantages of MF over any other type of towels.

it dependsrops:
For me, I want an Edgeless that won't mar Soft Paint when... Compounding/Polishing, WW/Rinseless, Waxes/Sealant removal and also doesn't make me consider a Reverse Mortgage Stock Swap to purchase the cloth.
That ='s Eagle Edgeless out of TRC.
hope it helps
